how do we manage to win the whole game and then lose in the last few minutes?
is it the focus?
bad mistakes?
what a bummer - I am sick over this one.

I think the Ravens players should urge the union to agree to an 18 games schedule except make all games only 3 Qtrs long. Then we won't have this problem. :D

Offensive line, defensive line. One shows up, one doesn't. This game, the OL wasn't there. In Atlanta and New England, the DL wasn't there. Inconsistent line play.

this is puzzling - seems to happen to almost every team in the league.
sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't.
Look at the Saints,Bears, Giants, Chargers, etc. every week there is a different team out on the field.
Maybe they are all looking to the lockout next year.
I just want my team to win another Super Bowl.

Yeah. Several mistakes. Oher wet the bed. I know he had a sprain knee, but if Michael just brushes Polomalu or takes a step towards him, that would delay him by at least .1 second, Joe completes the pass, at the least his arm is going forward and fumble never occurs. Hell hold him if you had to.

You can't blame Oher on that one. His blocking responsibility was James Harrison on the inside. Nobody should be expected to block 2 players like that. That was all on Joe.

Are you serious? Once Polamalu crept up to the line Oher should at least looked to block him seeing as he's faster than Harrison.

Grubbs was lined up with Harrison, Oher slid to double Harrison while Polamalu was staring right at Flacco. It was a 4 man front with Polamalu being the 5th coming. We had plenty to pick that up....Oher missed his assignment. If you don't see that, I don't know what more to tell you.

Micheal takes a half step backward there is your .1 second. Michael went foward and engaged Harrison. Take a step back and he can still engage Harrison. OL need to point out protection. Oher has to see Capt. Curly fries on his left.

Yeah. All on Joe right? An unevaded blitzing safety on a 3 step drop lol. Yeah it was Joe needs eyes in the back of his head. Shotgun or more then 1.2 seconds of protection much to ask for huh? Youre right all on Joe. <say no to drugs kids>

Wow. I realize we lost a tough game but thats no reason to be an a@$.

Feel free to listen to any number of former QB's. It is Joe's responsibility to be aware of things like that. If there was any doubt on who was blocking Polamalu he should have changed the protections like you see Manning and Ryan do all the time.

Being all sarcastic and accusing me of using drugs isn't going to change what happened. Its a football game. Get over it.

He didn't need to change protections. It was a 4 man front + Polamalu. Polamalu should have been picked up by the LT, in ths case, Oher. Its plain as day and football 101.

Stop blaming Flacco.....its far off the mark!

Yeah Trent Dilfer slamed the hell out of Cam for his play calling after the game. Should have been a run, run, punt with 2nd and 5.

Matt Birk does a great job calling out protections. Dont know if Matt just assumed Polomalu would be picked up by Oher or what.

Posting ignorant comments about it was all on Joe, may help you vent. But one has to question one's state of mind and intelligence after those remarks. Yeah the Ravens lost but isnt going to change what happen.

Flacco admitted after the game that he had no idea where Polamalu was on that play. Big Ben always knows where Ed Reed is.

So maybe all the blame shouldn't be of Flacco. But he is the QB. Everything ultimately stops with him. If Peyton Manning sees Polamalu creep up to the line you better believe he's stepping up and telling his OT to block him.

Safe assumption......why would you double down on Harrison with only a 4 man front with Polamalu adding himself to the line? Horrible!!!

he shouldn't have to tell his NFL caliber starting LT, "hey, don't double this guy and leave this other one untouched". He will in the future now, though!

You always block from the middle out, so Oher had to take Farrison. Flacco needs to see #43 at the line and do something. You have to account for him every time you snap the ball. Polomalu lined up in the same place earlier in the game and Flacco didn't do anything then either. Flacco handed it to McGahee and Polomalu tackled him immediately for a 5 yard loss. FLACCO HAS TO CHANGE THE PLAY, CALL TIMEOUT, WHATEVER. YOU CAN'T JUST SNAP THE BALL AND HOPE!!!

On that play, the middle had already been accounted for seeing as Harrison took an inside angle.

I completely agree with you on the run to McGahee though. I was screaming at my TV after that play. Audibles are overrated Cam? Really?

So a 6-man rush with 6 pass-protectors and it's okay to leave someone unblocked while doubling another? That's not right..

Lets just agree to disagree then. I take back my original comment about Oher needing to block 2 guys. I thought thats what the commentators had said. I went back and watched the replay on NFL.com and I stand corrected. He could have passed Harrison off to Grubbs but then that requires Gruggs to read the same thing Oher did. Thats why its still ultimately the QBs responsibility.

Well, if you're taking back your original inaccurate opinion of Oher needing to block 2, you're actually agreeing with me :)

I dunno, I think Peter King summed it up the best. Cam Cameron and Joe need work on field awareness and where the blitzes will be coming from and to get rid of the ball faster. Rather punt then take a strip and scoop any day.

I feel like I was the only one screaming to pick up the left blitz. I basically saw it happening so wasn't too surprised.

That's why I didnt like the move of Oher going to LT, he is a RT and he played great there. Resign Gaither and he is our LT...
