Flacco Or Dicksons Fault On 4Th And 2?

Was it Flacco or Dickson's fault on the last play for our offense?
Should Dickson have sat in the open at the first down marker instead of making Flacco's throw more difficult by continuing towards the sideline in the flat? Or should Flacco have made the throw no matter where Dickson decided to continue his route?

I think Dickson should have sat down and made the throw from Flacco as easy as possible, he was wide open and I feel like on 4th and 2 Heap would have made it easy on Flacco and stopped at the marker for an easy completion.

It was a combination of both. Flacco threw before he was ready but he knew he had the correct read when he turned to throw across his body; you also have to keep in mind, wind was somewhat of a factor, as we saw plenty of passes sail for both QBs. Meanwhile, it looked as if Dickson was supposed to run a shorter route instead of going all the way in the flat, the way that Flacco miscalculated the distance of the throw. Furthermore, given Dickson's up-and-down night, it wouldn't surprise me if he messed up part of the play somehow.

Seriously though, as bad as that play was the one that gets my nerve is Oher jumping offsides and putting us out of FG range.

Overall the Ravens beat themselves.

My understanding is you dont let people get a free run at the QB. If im an nfl level left tackle, I know the play, whos in the backfield and who to block so someone doesnt RUN FULL SPEED AT MY QB...
but yes McClain was missed... if he plays that game is won easily...
which is what we get get for only keeping one full back on the roster

Flacco owns up to that play. Joe even said he didnt get his hips into it. We really shoudlnt have been in this situation. The penalties were brutal. The play calling was horrid. Polomalu should never go unblocked. OL protection needs work.

Both Flaccoand Dickson are at fault too. Awful throw by flacco but could have been caught by Dickson...and would have by Heap. Brutal way to lose but I called it after we got sacked out of FG range "We'll lose by three in the 4th now". I was just hoping that I was being unnecessarily negative.
