ugh, after that terrible missed tackle I was screaming at the screen for a solid minute. Landry was actually having a good game too, he had made some nice tackles in stopping the run. Redman just wanted it more it seemed, and Landry had kind of a bad angle but still WRAP UP SON!

I kind of can't respect the stance of giving up on your 8-4 team just because of the issues the Ravens have been having. Especially when teams like the Browns, Bills, Lions, and Rams have fans who stick with them through thick, thin, and multiple losing seasons.
Man its just frustrating for me because i get SO PUMPED up for Ravens games all week every week and it seems like every time they have a huge game against a good opponent they just collapse. It seems like I want the Ravens to win more than the Ravens players themselves. Its even more frustrating to watch because of the ABUNDANCE of talent on this team. There is just no excuses bro, point blank. The Ravens outside of a select few ( Boldin Mason Suggs Heap Ray Lewis Ngata Ed Reed ) seem to have no passion or fire and desire to win. I just dont get it, opportunities to make the playoffs and reach the SB dont come around too often so you have to capitalize on them when you get the chance too. Last night we had ample chances to put the game away and we folded up like origami AT HOME with the division on the line and a possible chance at a bye week in the playoffs. Like someone else said how can NE put 39 on them with Welker and a bunch of who? players. And yet with our players Boldin Mason Housh Heap Stallworth Rice McGahee we can only muster a measly 10 points. This is also not the first time this season we've played like this, it happened in ATL, in NE ( let them off the hook ), in Cincy , and truth be told we were lucky to escape against Buffalo the Jets and we needed a last second TD in Pitt to win against CHARLIE BATCH for crying out loud. Yes we are 8-4 with a shot at the playoffs but this pro bowl laden team could just as easily be 5-7. And im just sorry, but anything besides a SB win will be a disappointment in my book. I dont wanna hear " we'll get em next time " or we will learn from this " or "theres always next year " Nope, dont wanna hear it. Thats what you tell a pop warner Tiny football league team right before you take them to pizza hut after a blowout loss. Not a bunch of grown men that get paid millions of dollars to play a game that many of us were not fortunate enough or blessed with enough talent to make it where they are. So we root for them ,and cheer for them, and for them to continue to mail it in is absolutely sickening. My car is Raven'd out ( license plates car flags etc. ) I have DTV sunday ticket so i can watch them every week here n Vegas I have ravens blankets ,rugs ,jerseys , footballs and mini helmets and it feels like they just dont want to win as bad as me and im sure most of you guys want them to win....But maybe i am just " too " passionate right? It is " just a game" as they say right? Is it too much to ask for a complete game on both sides of the ball? Maybe it is......

I was not saying I don't respect you (if that's how you took it) or anyone else here really. More so just stating how I feel on people who give up on their team due to a loss, no matter how hard of a loss it is.

I understand all the feelings in this thread. I myself had one of the worst days I've ever had because of last night. (The Steeler fans at work and on Facebook, all gloating over it didn't help.) I know I shouldn't let games get to me like that. Not even the sweep of two years ago got to me like last night. But as others have posted, and I did so myself in another thread, it's time to look forward to the "next man up" the Texans and just keep our focus on the prize of the playoffs.

Yea, just overreaction from this thread, thats all. Lots of people are passionate about the Ravens. Hell, when they lose, especially games like this where they practically dominate for 3 quarters of football , I get so mad I feel like breaking something or someone ,LOL. You can say I have anger management issues or whatever but thats how passionate I am about the team.

I was at a Madden tourny Sunday with a chance to win it all ($500) and me and my lab ( practice ) partner had to play each other in the Final 4 so I take the forfeit for a few reasons ( shouldn't have because I had beat the guy earlier , had those Ravens playing like the 06 squad,LOL ) I came up short in the championship game when I should have won and I wasn't too upset . The Ravens lose to Steelers and I'm pissed! You see, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

absolutely sickening to watch. R U KIDDING ME? U dont even try for the fg? Ed Dickson rolling around on the ground instead of getting up and running 1 more yard for the first down when he wasnt touched? Cant recognize when Troy is up on the line that he is blitzing? Cant sack Big Ben with his one good foot? Billy Cindiff looking like he was about to cry if he was called upon for the kick ( cmon man) . Ravens dont have the " It factor " They cant put teams away and can never hold a lead.....They will make the playoffs but do nothing but lose.....im not rooting for another team but im done with the ravens for this season.....bunch of chumps....yall ( Ravens ) suck!
I could not disagree more. It was the type of game that has become the norm when these two go at each other. This loss hurt. I went to bed angry, and woke up angry. We will bounce back strong. I did not post until I was able to look at this with a level head. Yes we could have won this game. Yes we should have won this game, but they made one more play than we did, so now... We have to get ready for Houston.

<Insert Jerry Maguire quote here> Rod: I'm all heart mother ######!

Kidding. If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't sleep last night. Didn't want to go to work today, just felt like life had been zapped out of me. I've felt this way only a few times in my life but I dusted off my britches & got back up.

I look forward to seeing us go 4-0 to close out the season.

You all can do as you wish.
I am a RAVENS fan because they are my local team.
I was a fan during winning seasons and loosing seasons.

They dont have to win a lot to be "fan worthy" in my opinion.
I dont care if the go winless, I will still wear the purple and black.

Never mind,,,,,

What really concerns me is the possibility of having to play the Steelers one more time in the playoffs. Because straight up, we are unable to beat Big Ben, I'm convinced we don't have what it takes. I'm perfectly happy not playing them again, I mean let's not forget the series IS SPLIT 1-1, despite not feeling like it.

There are tons of things we need to fix, like tackling, play calling, pass protection, the running game. When it comes to playing on the road in the playoffs, every game must be a complete game. One weakness, one achillies heel, one thing goes wrong and our season could be done then and there.

We have all this talent and potential, but very few times since Harbs and Flacco arrived here have we seen us play well on both offense and defense. In almost every game we play, it's one or the other.

It's time to put the talent and the team together. Because the Ravens simply haven't done that yet. Never been a better time than now.

It was'nt really that much good defensive play in this game but "terrible" offensive play...

And when I say that I mean from BOTH sides... you'd think these guys have not been playing

football all their lives...??

true

i thought you guys played great......you guys made our offense look bad

it was a classic hard nosed matchup

it was anyones game

our teams are very evenly matched......its why we almost always split

but you shouldnt swear off your team.....their real good

very classy of you as a steeler fan! we'll see you guys again!

we were "unable" to beat Brady once upon a time...
Now we know were able to beat Brady. The same can't be said about Big Ben. That's why I'd rather see the Pats in the playoffs than the Steelers (although if we get far enough, we have a good chance of seeing both.)

I don't get it. We have a very good chance to have the best record in the 3 years that Flacco and Harbs have been here, yet people are quitting on us? Teams lose games. Ish happens. Get over it.

Wow man. Guess you weren't around for those truly bad seasons huh. I recall when a win against Pitt/Indy/Pats WAS our season because we certainly weren't going anywhere near the post season. I can understand the frustration. I'm pretty frustrated as well because we have an OC that's a control freak and is limiting our offense big time and a DC that I have no idea what he's thinking. Why in the heck did we stop rushing Ben in the 2nd half? Crazy stuff. The pack is separating pretty quick now. Personally I think the AFC is pretty set in terms of the teams that are going to make the playoffs. All that remains to be determined is the seeding. Not sure we'll be getting far in the post season unless Harbs wakes up and takes Cam to task. Either way, I'll still be here. Bleeding purple, despising the Steelers, Pats and Indy (and more recently, the Jets) because, win or lose, I'm a Ravens fan.

yup. we could be the colts right now. Mannings thrown 11 INTs in the last 3 games, and they dont have a defense

Here's a silver lining thought; when the Ravens make the playoffs, Flacco will become the first starting QB to post a playoff berth in back-to-back-to-back seasons starting with his rookie year.

What does it really mean if everyone turns their back on this ball club, the Ravens organization goes bankrupt and Maryland folks have to start rooting for the Redskins again? Think about that.

I'm not going to agree and say they have no heart. The heart of Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Anquan Boldin, Derrick Mason. It's unquestionable. The thing that we lack is the killer instinct, and that is absolutely due to our playcalling.

Are any of you watching this Jets-Pats game? Look at how the offense is continually driving, getting points, taking the will out of the Jets, imposing their own. That's what I want the Ravens to do!!!
