Ravens Have No Heart! No Championship Mentality

I never said you did write that. I was referring to the OP's stance and some posters that have shared that same sentiment.
Probably a lot of emotion especially after seeing the same problems arise again and again. Couple of wins, people will stop being dramatic.

A little off topic but I keep seeing Dawan Landry missing tackles that result in touchdowns. I can understand our corners or Reed missing but not when you're 220lb and supposed to be the hard hitter in our secondary.

If we're going to have a secondary that can't tackle they might as well be ballhawks, bench him and start Nakamura.

Well, didn't like the way the game ended at all, but all they can do is learn from it and make sure it doesn't happen again. We need to get hot going into the playoffs because that's what seems to count the most. The ravens just need to start putting whole games together and we'll be ready to contend against any team in the league. I thought the Ravens played with a lot of heart in this game, but they made a few mistakes that cost them the game. Mistakes don't equate to a lack of desire or passion. They are just mistakes, painful one's, but still just mistakes.

I have a feeling we may get the division back because of the M.A.S.H. unit that the steelers are going to be fielding the rest of the year.
The Bengals almost came back to beat them last time and the Jets could knock them off too.

Look Ravens fans its not the end of the world. Hold your head high we played a good game just came out on the opposite end of things tonight. We got conservative and yes Joe made a horrible decision turning his back to an unblocked Polamalu. With that said poor tackling penalties and a poor end game plan resulted in a loss. I doubt we win the division now, but if we don't pick up the pieces we won't make the playoffs either. Harbs if you are any kind of coach don't be mad at the media for asking why we lost. Hold your self and your players accountable for their actions and hope for a better week next time out. You got your rear kicked today. But i have witnessed many rear kickings on this very field, now lets go. No time to wallow in your misery, on to the next one!

Ok so what there are four games remaining, I see probably one more loss and two if they really stink it up. I was skeptic on them winning more than 10, but now I really think the worst they will do is 11-5. We still got two division games that "should" be wins, and Pittsburgh has two left as well and I really see Cleveland beating them the second time. It will be close for us since it is in Cleveland but I feel they will pull it out. So if we can at least go 3-1 to go out with the two division wins, and Cincy/Cleveland can pull one out for us against Pittsburgh I know the Jets will beat Pittsburgh. So that's the prize I'm keeping my eyes on, I'm mad at the loss but it was a great game and we Raven fans really don't have no reason to be furious and ready to go postal and all. The pros sure out weigh the cons for our team and this game. Me though I would of sent Billy out there for the try and the tie, wind or not that kid has been something special this year and I think he would of made it, he deserved the chance!!!

<be nice>. If we would have converted the first down this wouldn't even be a thread. Some people just like to complain and and like to admit when another team is good they are a good team as much as I hate to say it but just cause we lost by 3 points doesn't mean we don't have heart. That's why they went for the conversion instead of the field goal

Honestly, I thought it was the best game the defense has played all year. The offense was already in the showers at half time.

I'm disappointed too but the Ravens will always be my team and I'll support them. It's ridiculous to rule the Ravens out of the playoff picture when we're in prime position for a wildcard spot right now... possibly better.

absolutely sickening to watch. R U KIDDING ME? U dont even try for the fg? Ed Dickson rolling around on the ground instead of getting up and running 1 more yard for the first down when he wasnt touched? Cant recognize when Troy is up on the line that he is blitzing? Cant sack Big Ben with his one good foot? Billy Cindiff looking like he was about to cry if he was called upon for the kick ( cmon man) . Ravens dont have the " It factor " They cant put teams away and can never hold a lead.....They will make the playoffs but do nothing but lose.....im not rooting for another team but im done with the ravens for this season.....bunch of chumps....yall ( Ravens ) suck!

Man i would bash you SO HARD.. So would so many other members of this forum and true Baltimore fans. But the truth is after the loss i found myself at a loss as well. We played like a SB competitive team to a certain point but still...NO W! Release your stress dude im probably as fired up as you are but just remember what colors you are when you wake up in the A.M.

The team has heart, an offensive coordinator and elite QB they dont. I'm a fan still, but i'm not really putting too much confidence in them to do anything until they show me they are ready for the next level. How does Tom Brady carve the Steelers up with 2nd and 3rd string receivers yet Ravens struggle so mightily with pro bowlers??

Our defence played with the heart and intelligence of a champion. I blame offensive line failings in the 2nd half and thick-headed play calling for this loss.

"Where is the heart of a champion..."

Is it some kind of sick irony by the football Gods with that Old Spice Ray Lewis commercial??
You want irony? How about the irony of the announcers gushing over how the Ravens D hasn't allowed a TD following a turnover from the offense all season. Then we promptly give up one after the Polamalu FF. All Landry had to do was tackle the guy.

How about they faced a pretty good team in the Steelers. Both defeses have a tedecy to make the other offese look bad. Another classic that left my head hurting and my gut achig. Ayway, we still got Ray Lewis yall. He'll pick this team up!

BTW, I apologize for my "n"s not showig up regularly. That key is stuck o my keyboard ad it oly works rarely. I'm tryig to get it fixed, but times are tough.

I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOUR FORUM RAVENS HAVE NO HEART - What you just said above, has to do with the PLAY CALLING!

THE RAVENS ARE THE TOUGHEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE!- There was so much heart last night it could have filled up 10 years worth of Valentines day cards!

The problem is that CAM is clueless how to call a game with Rhythm. Joe needs to operate mostly out of a shotgun, no huddle offense, similar to a run and shoot Warren Moon style - CAM hasn't figured that out yet. Get a coordinator that can call plays that suits the personnel, rather than getting the personnel to accomidate his play calling.
DELAY OF GAME IN OUR STADIUM? What is that?

What we have is PLAYER and FAN FRUSTRATION as a result of his arrogance.
Pittsburgh has figured out what Ben likes to do, and goes with it.
CAM is such a freakin hardhead, that we will have to not make the playoffs before Bisciotti gets rid of him.

I SAY ITS TIME FOR HARBAUGH TO SPEAK UP, or HE WILL GO DOWN WITH THE SHIP TOO!

I do't get why teams do't employ the same type of attack agaist the Steelers that the Patriots use. Throw the ball every down. Make them stop your passig game. The Steelers secodary stiks and stiks bad. Why not expose that throughout the game?

I know. Despite their depleted o-line, the Steelers used a ton of 4 and 5 WR sets against us. Why couldn't we return the favor?

This post hits the nail on the head. The Ravens play with just as much heart as anyone, including the Steelers, that ain't the problem. Although I'm not sure about the shotgun and no huddle thing. I do think we need to include those schemes, just not exclusively. We need to mix it up. We have the players and talent to do anything we want, and that is what will make us formidable. Opponents should not know what to expect.

Cam looks like a genius until we get the lead. His conservative and predictable play calling when we are in front makes it look as though he is trying not to lose, not win. He has no killer instinct and if you let good teams like pburgh hang around, they are going to find a way. It is a true crime aginst the entire Ravens Team who fought with their HEARTS and SOULS to win that game to lose because of timid play calling.

The days of getting a lead and trying to sit on it are long gone. I venture to say that even the 2000 D couldn't do what they did given today's rules and officiating. The NFL has tilted the field to the offensive side to make the game more appealing to the masses.

We've built an offense to compete, and remain a defensive power. It's way past time to open up the offense and take control. If Cameron doesn't have the HEART or BA*** to do the job, then it's time for him to go.

That said, LET'S GO WHOOP SOME TEXAS BUTT!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain, to lose is bad, but to the Steelers at our home.... sucks!

Last night I was as angry as a wet cat in a room full of dogs. But....I remember the 5-11 season, 6-10, and the 13-3 season that ended in a flop in the playoffs.

I am a Ravens fan, win or lose. Yesterday was a disappointment to say the least, but all is not lost.

Take a deep breath and go put on something purple, you will get over it.

GO RAVENS!

I have to say you guys out played us last nite... and I don't even have anything to say about our CB McFadden... but THE SAME THING HAPPENS OVER AND OVER AGAIN when these two teams meet and that's some "play from outer space" causes the Steelers to get the advantage. In all honesty, I do see a pattern has formed. You'd think the Raven's staff would have planned for this by now ??? Oh well, as they say online on Madden... gg (good game)!

I can't fault the guy who started this thread, I am exactly the same after a horrible loss. I'm so emotional about the Ravens, I love this team, I follow them every day of the year. Even in the offseason I am searching for any bit of news, when the season finally comes I have so much invested it hurts like hell to see them underachieve.

A little off topic but I keep seeing Dawan Landry missing tackles that result in touchdowns. I can understand our corners or Reed missing but not when you're 220lb and supposed to be the hard hitter in our secondary.

This really disappoints me as well, Landry is absolutely stacked physically and he plays like hes 200 pounds...he finally lays into Cadillac Williams(injury prone to say the least) and knocks himself out...what the hell? If I was 220 and as shredded as Landry was I would be absolutely teeing up on guys across the middle and going face up with them. But I disagree with Nakamura, hes not a ballhawk, the plays in preseason were tip balls.
