We Blow It!

Big time fumble from Joe when he couldn't read the Bliz coming. Joe's final minute drive has failed with a pass to wide open Dickson?! It's just painful to watch when Sugg was single handed beat the OL of the Steelers.

It always comes down to turnover!

I don't think he expected him to be there in half a second, he was untouched. It might have been a blown assignment. The final pass was bad, but not the reason we lost. It should never have come down to a fourth down conversion when we held them to 13 points. It's hard to understand how you miss Polamalu on the line of scrimmage though, whoever's fault it was.

What business did they have trying to pass the ball in that situation anyway? It was 2nd down and 5, under 4 minutes to play with the clock running..... That was not Ravens football.

When you can't run there's not many other options besides passing...

Ironically, some fans in the Game Thread were calling for the Ravens to start passing at that point. And that's exactly why you run the ball to kill time at that point in the game, even if the run is being shut down.

I love the ravens, but championship teams win these games. They seize theses opportunity, I'll still watch every game, but this loss to me is more than a L. It's speaks to the teams "can't get over the hump mentality".

They had just gained 5 yards on 1st down via the run. They gave up on it to early.

Yeah, you know, at the very least you take another 1:20 off the clock and punt the ball away, and give your defense a fighting chance.

you can find lots of silly pieces in this loss but did it help to blame everyone in the middle of the season ? Trading deadline is what 2 month over change coaches in the middle of the season specially on offence with different playbook basics year that would be pretty smart ..... not !

I mean when you see it that way good choice to let Hamlin go and let haruki play. He busted 2 big plays one with his hold and one clear sack so why did nobody give him the fault =?

They were in the nickle, so after the run they should've went hurry up and kept on running down their throats......

And another thing that bugs me is that I feel like there is no sense of urgency in the offense when we don't have much time left. They all jog to the line and take a couple seconds, no hurrying to the line or what not. This happened with the Falcons game too.

I'd just like to see a bit more aggressiveness with the offense

Sometimes I want to fix this but other thing came up which cost us games. The game is just unpredictable!

There are so many things happening in games that I want to bite my lips and wish to get it back for another chance, but this is just another hard fought and heart broken lost.

I don't understand why Harbaugh didn't try to challenge with Joe's fumble by Troy? It looked like his arm was moving forward. It should be an incomplete pass. I want him to challenge that bad!

PS: I need some times to mentally recuperate.....

We are the kings of blowing fourth quarter leads this season. We've done it in all of our losses. These crappy offensive performances are what end up killing us. I'm thinking back to the playoff loss to the Colts, where we scored 3 points. I'm thinking back to the Jets and Bengals games, scoring 10 points in each. This is not going to get it done, and we've been concerned all season about the streakiness. I'd also like to know what the heck happened on the Polamalu free shot.

dayum man im so pissed off rite now. 3 times i saw troy blitz in the line of scrimmage untouched n all 3 plays were shut down, one resulting in a fumble. its so frustrating being a fan of this team, it takes a lot out of me as a fan when i know we played the better game n then we hand it over at the last minute. hopefully the steelers remaining opponents can help us out. but damn, the oppurtunity was there n we let it get away.

And it seems like every game we take a big sack to take us out of FG range. Ridiculous mistakes, Cam has no flow. He failed as a head coach, and his ability as an offensive coordinator has been overrated for a while now. We've actually been pretty fortunate this year in some of our wins, but the Steelers have been even more fortunate. We didn't take care of business, again.

the level of how defense played and how our offense played was polar opposite. Suggs probably had the best game of his life. but all that was blown away by the time offensive decided to lay like a lame duck LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO, and just sleep for the 2nd half. Our O-line played horrendously piss poor tonight. They had to have ray rice block coverages, and I think he did ten times better then any of our offensive linebackers. And Ray Rice is a freaking 5'9 RB!. I cant remember how many times Oher made the same stupid move mistake over and over this season. Like what Suggs said tonight "have we learned nothing?". Cam Cameron, have u made a single play call while on timeout that actually worked this season? Why in the world did we let's steelers get back to their feet, and just have their defense take a breather JUST TO MAKE A CRAPPY PLAYCALL? There were so many our ravens individuals that played their heart out today, and some clearly were just total lame ducks. Those lame ducks blew it for us on this game, whether or not Suggs made 1million tackles/sacks it wouldn't even have mattered.

I was going to post how i hate Oher and his stupid mistakes... but in all honestly as i sit here watching the game that i recorded on DVR... its true. Oher has one of the fastest "get offs" in the league. He jumps back so fast AFTER the ball has been snapped that the officalls to the naked eye think he is offsides.

Oher just needs to slow that down. He is good enough not to need to get penalties, even for not deserving them.

Watch the replays. You'll see. I was so mad at Oher, but it wasnt his fault actually.

no no no he was at the line of scrimmage pre snap and to be painfully honest Joe should have seen that. We had no business throwing the football right there anyway. Hindsight my butt that was horrible coaching. I would say Harbs could take over but he can't because he has 0 experience.

No no no? There's a difference between a defensive player being at the line of scrimmage and a defensive player being unblocked. How do you know Flacco wasn't relying on a chip to give him an extra second? He was planning to get rid of the ball quickly, but Polamalu was totally untouched. My guess is that it was a blown assignment by the O-line. Blaming Flacco for that would be unjust. He didn't hold the ball forever like he did on the opening play of the season against the Jets, it was a gift from the O-line to Polamalu.

Rice went to the front side to block Timmons. The entire o-line slid left except Oher who should have followed suit and blocked Polamalu.

Been saying this since last night, but this board has been going crazy with irratic opinion and unfounded thoughts.....

Everyone, go watch the play again. 3 step drop that was a 1/4 second late due to a missed blocking assignment. Football 101

Man you really want to turn you back to an unblocked Polamalu. Regardless of protection issues when Flacco came to the line of scrimmage you can see that play was not going to work.
