Now I see what you're saying. It is irrelevant though since the past is the past. Rematch weekend continues with Green Bay Vs Atlanta. Figures, as soon as we have the Rodgers Vs Ryan debate, they're scheduled to play each other, right? lol It'll be an interesting weekend since each team matches up well against its counterpart, even Seattle, who actually beat Chicago @ Soldier Field.

Next weekend will definitely be great.

A win over Ben Roethlisberger in the playoffs would go a long way for Joe.

Fixed. Flacco has never beaten Big Ben before

Whilst many would argue the win against Kansas City was Joe's first real Playoff win, 4 wins already in his 3rd season is very impressive. We'll need continued strong efforts if we wish to advance further, and lets hope Joe has his best ever game as a Raven next week against the hated Steelers.

It wasn't about the numbers for me as far as Flacco is concerned. It was about taking the game into his hands. When the run game wasn't going anywhere, and he couldn't find open receivers, he took off running. He kept the drive alive. He took control. THAT is what I wanted to see.

This offense is stacked with talent. Cam Cameron doesn't know how to use it at all.
[/quote]
Yea, we have sick talents, and I believe Joe is one of the most talented QBs in the game, but Cam really needs to smack in some discipline to that o-line. Discipline, discipline, discipline.

Exactly. EXACTLY! This is why I didn't think Joe was elite. His numbers are there bout his decision making wasn't. This game was a huge step in the right step for Flacco. He played great.

Im glad Cam threw some crossing routes in his arsenal. Really helped Joe and it will help on saturday as well.

What's scary, is that Joe STILL hasn't played his best football yet, and still hasn't had the full support of his offense. Imagine if he did...
Kid's doing great, but now the biggest test of all comes Saturday: beat Roethlisberger at home. If Joe pulls this victory off, I don't think there will be anymore doubt that he is our qb, and is on his way to greatness. You're doing great Joe, but to be the best you must beat the best. Do what you do, and come back home with a W so we can give the Patriots the AFC Championship game that they absolutely dread playing.

There is no doubt he is our QB, the main argument is if he is elite or not. Different people have opinions on what the word Elite means. Some say he is already elite, some think not.

If he beats Troy and the Steelers this weekend, he will be in the right direction and I ll say he is top 7 QBs in the league.

well he is playing better in his first 3 season than Manning, Brady, and maybe Brees (correct me if I'm wrong) so hopefully his p;ay through this first 3 seasons is a foreshadowing of greater things to come.

Whatever we call him , elite or not , everyone has him in the same range 7-12. That's good for a 3rd year QB,coming from a small school and who could still get better. Important to say he was drafted in the second part of the 1st round

Now I like my QB rankings like this

1.Generational talents (Manning and Brady)

2.Elite (Brees,Rodgers,Roethlisberger,Rivers)

3.Good (Ryan,Flacco,Vick,Romo,Bradford etc)

4.Average with signs of improvement (Sanchez,Freeman etc)

5.Not even topic worth or "the Average Anderson" of the league

Thank You! Someone understands what Elite is. Only think I would change is the name "Good" to Great. I totally agree with this ranking system. And going off your rankings, if Joe wins this weekend, I would bump him up to Elite.

I think he has elite talent.
I do not think he is elite in common use of the word.

I dont know what to label him ... but who cares? He's exactly what we need, all that matters.

It may be a bit premature BUT I want Matt Ryan on Feb. 6th , a fully rested ( Not 3 days to prepare ON THE ROAD) Ravens team in a neutral atmoshphere... If Joe takes us where we WANT to go, he'll be considered a great QB. I can't call any QB elite with Less the 5 years experience, MINIMUM.
