Slant to Q, draw to Q, screen for Q.....hell, a draw (thats right, running play) to Q

See where im going with this?

Our big monetary and multiple draft-pick investment. Brilliant! He was beasting last night, should've had more than [s]4[/s] 5 catches.

He actually had 5 but 3 of them came on that final drive and that's simply not good enough. I love Houshmandzadeh but why the team ran two screens to him instead of the 215+ WR is beyond me.

I think the team's three plays in the red-zone on their final possession in the third quarter alone are proof Cam doesn't know what he's doing.

Oh yes, what happend to pounding the football?? They could have tried it atleast on 1st down. Me, I would have tried smashing it in 2 times, and then maybe on 3rd down try a corner fade, or Rice in the flat. Absolutely disgusting.

The famous "corner fade" gotta love that one - a BILLIK Favorite that usually got us 3 points!

Give Flacco a play arm band with groups of plays. Let Cam call out a group to Flacco.

LET FLACCO, who is on the field, decide the play from the group that best fits the defense. Then Joe will have the responsibility of the offense and not just be a QB who runs a play. He can then control the tempo of the offense.

Just an Idea.

GO RAVENS!

that lackluster play calling for 4 posessions cost us the game
[/quote]

I agree, he went conservative with 10 minutes left and the offense stalled. He called nothing but run plays with no FB going against a great defense. Their pass D was their weakness and what worked earlier in the game but he gave up on it.

Whoops, I stand correct. True. Those 5 catches came on two drives. If I were a DB, a Boldin screen is a lot scarier than a Housh screen. You're right about the slants, though, I've seen you reference them in different threads. Why we don't run more of them with big bodies in Heap, Boldin, Housh, and Dickson is beyond me.

You know what I don't get, Cam Cameron seems to only let the offense do what it should do when he wants. Other times he decides not to and just get conservative. I don't understand how Cam could forget the Playoff game against the Patriots where they hit the gas pedal and never lifted taking us to a 24 to 0 lead. Now it seems Cam is afraid to go full throttle this season. We could have put away the Steelers last night, but Cam was just too dang conservative and too dumb to realize how much he could have took advantage of the Steelers weak secondary.

I want the Cam Cameron offense we saw when we smashed the Patriots.... get out quick and often and never lift until you are sure it's over.

I don't think you're being realistic. Against the Pats, not only did the team have a complete healthy o-line, but they broke off an 80-yard for a TD on the first play of the game and forced a turnover on NE's first possession which led to another score. That just won't happen often.

Also, after jumping out to a 24-0 lead, they only put up 9 points the rest of the game so there was evidence of Cam's complacency in that match-up too.

"Suck" is a strong word. I like the phrase "situationally clueless".

I'm just puzzled as to why Cam wants to milk the clock with 9 minutes left, because once again he thinks we have the game in the bag. And then, he wants to throw on 2nd and 5 with 4 or so minutes left??? Come on man, if you can't trust the running game to get 5 yards on 2 plays, at least put yourself in the position where you can punt it and pin them deep to force a long drive.

The whole Cam debacle upsets me. The man can be an offensive mastermind, especially with the players we have this year on offense. However, his love for playing it safe as soon as the team has a lead, instead of trying to add to the lead, ruins everything great he has going for him. If he'd just drop that mentality, let the offense go full throttle and add to a lead, I think everything would be fine, and Cam wouldn't have the venom being spewed at him like he does now. I truly cannot blame the players for starting to get upset with Cam, especially the defense. These guys work so hard to clean up after Cam's "mess" and hold onto that small lead that he's apparently content with. It's completely unfair to them to have to be on the field so much, and take the game onto their shoulders so often.

Maybe Cam doesn't want Flacco to use audibles because it'd ruin Cam's offensive conservativeness. Or... maybe that's just my mind wandering.

It's bizarre isn't it? I mean if you are having continuous success against a team because you have found a way to exploit their secondary...why not continue that for the rest of the game? Leads are too often squandered in this league in the 4th quarter, you need to run the score up on teams to win nowadays. We have the weapons, spent so much on Housh, Boldin, Heap, Mason etc etc etc but we aren't using them to our full potential at all.

If I don't see at least 35 points scored next week against Houston I will sustain my argument that Cam is being conservative

I don't know but it seems he is afraid of "running up the score" so he gets conservative. To me there is no running up the score, I mean we got out to a 24 to 0 lead in the playoffs against the Patriots, and we added on but you just never know when your defense will miss that receiver and the other team scores and gets momentum, which would carry over to their defense stopping your offense and next thing you know in the 4th Quarter you could lose the game. To me for that very reason, there is no such thing as running up the score. Maybe Cam is afraid of that but if he is I'm here to tell him there is no such thing as running up the score... especially if the opposing QBs are Brady, Manning, Brees, and Ben.

We are not making game winning plays, we are trying to make plays that will not lose the game. I do not think that we will ever be in the position that we are in now ever again and we are not taking advantage of it at all. We have upgraded our personnel without upgrading the playbook. Make a play that will win the game and stop trying not to lose!

dont get gassed just wanted yall to know that we regs do notice an are thankful for the hard work now back to bashing Cam.

If Cam can just go all out from start to finish then we wouldnt have these issues an im sure the defense would improve as well because we would make teams one diminsional.
