This past weekend my family and I went to the Ravens Fan Fest. I have been to dozens of home games but always took the light rail. The stadium had free parking so we drove for convience. Being a 30-something I had to park at lot H.J. Spent many of nights in my late teens / early twentys hanging out at Hammerjacks.

I dunno. It felt kind of special to me. Like I have fulfiled some sort of warped mid-life crisis desteny.

I am not the only one am I ? <_<

Wow I knew Hammerjacks was closed but didn't know it was turned into a parking lot! Last time I was there was 5-6 yrs ago and you couldn't tell it was dying. However, I only went there a handful of times so I'm not nostalgic about it.

5 or six years ago ?

Not the same hammerjacks.

This was the origonal two story concert hall/ night club. It was all rock-n-roll. It was located on what is now the parking lot by the lightrail right next to M&T Bank Stadium. It was bulldozed well over six years ago.

Hammerjacks went downhill after Oriole Park opened up, they tried to convert the dance club side to Louie Louie's and the Inner Harbor concert hall was later known as the Concert Hall at Camden Yards. I think they tore down the place because they need parking for the baseball stadium when they started construction at M and T Bank stadium.. The club was so popular at one point that they were forced to censor their ads in the DC City Paper, because the owners of the 9:30 Club and the Bayou were scared of taking away their business. I liked going to shows there because of the large stage setup, the easy availablity of parking and the cheap cover charges.
