Hey, so I have decided to make this sunday's game the first Ravens game i have ever attended. Thing is, i have obviously never been to the stadium, nor do i know the area that well. To add to that, my friend and i have work till 1pm, meaning we can't leave till 1:30 at the earliest. And the kicker is, we live in jersey, and its about a 3 hour drive. In all of your humble opinions, should we bother buying a parking pass or try to navigate from a remote parking location? Keep in mind, assuming realistic traffic, we will be there at most 3 hours before the game, and we know no one who is going.. oh yeah, and she is a steelers fan

Advice please!!

Edit: oh, and i found a pass for the O lot for about $100; worth it?

Most parking is in the 40 dollar range, don't forget it may be snowing. See this thread

Thanks a lot, probably should have looked around more before posting ;) thing is, if we get there at 5 or so, maybe even later, i'm assuming that there would not be any of those other lots open by then, so should i spring for the parking pass?

Actually, assuming i do, do those lots even allow cars in after a certain time?

I'm sorry, and i'm sorry if this is what you meant, but if i buy a pass for a lot and it still fills, are we out of luck, or in the clear no matter what?

Again, thanks!

to my understanding, if you buy a lot ticket, your guaranteed a spot, atleast i was for 3 straight years, never had a prob. If you have trouble, the most conveinant place i found to park, was inside a parking garage at the Sheraton on S. Charles street. Its 20$ and about a 10 min walk to the stadium at most

I would say be safe, but since you are from New Jersey, I would say you most likely know where to stay away from.
The streets in Baltimore can be tricky.
If you can afford $100 for a parking spot, I'd say do it.
Otherwise, that is a lot of money to be throwing around.
Once you are in the area, you'll see a lot of people walking to the game, mostly in purple.
If you can research and find a place to park near the light rail, you might want to use that.
I always suggest parking around the Mt. Royal light rail stop, going into the Mt. Royal Tavern for a drink or two, if you are of age, because it's an amazing Baltimore bar, even though it might be one of the dirtiest places you've ever been.
It's cheap and the drinks are strong.
You'll see plenty of Ravens fans there, and the light rail is right across the street.
It'll take you to the stadium, and you'll be around a lot of Ravens fans that use the light rail and will be more than helpful.
Safety in numbers.
If you're a Ravens fan, bring your voice.

Are you staying somewhere or driving back to Jersey that night? Either way, I'd go with the above advice: park somewhere near a light rail stop and take pt down to the stadium. I used to live in SoBo and the traffic is terrible on game days. Narrow streets, little parking, and lots and lots of traffic. I can't imagine how long it'll take to get out after the game either.

Stopping by the Mt. Royal Tavern is a very, very good idea.

To the late arriver from NJ: that's a lot of money for a Lot O pass. If were you, I'd cruise around the stadium area looking for a $40 spot in a private lot, east or south of stadium lots. If unsuccessful, drive along the Pratt & Lombard corridor for a parking garage within long walking distance to the stadium. That will cost about $20. If that fails (not likely), park remotely, e.g. Little Italy, and hail a cab. Recommend against Light Rail at that late hour unless you get on at BWI or Cromwell, or at the northern terminus (Hunt Valley?) - the late trains fill up and sometimes merely bypass stations along the way.

The the Hyatt customer: it's ten to fifteen minute walk, depending on your speed and traffic signals. Conway to the B&O Warehouse, turn left on the Eutaw Promenade/Ravens Walk. Recommend that you alllot 45 minutes to an hour to stop by the outdoor taverns and grills, and make sure to rub the shoes on the Unitas statue.
