Doing The Dumb Towel Idea Again.

We ridicule Steelers fan and their 'wicked scary' towel swinging behavior. And now for the big game, our marketing dept feels we too should swing purple towels over our heads.

This once again in attempt to drown out the 1000 or so who swing them, as long as they keep them, in our stadium.

As with all the other Talon Towels, it will go in my pocket to come home and set on my son's dresser.

I don't have a problem with it. The only problem I do have with the Steelers towel is that yellow color

I think it's stupid too. Unless it's a sarcastic response to the Steelers' towels. Then I'm for it. But don't let people add adjectives to stereotypes about the Ravens fan community. I can see it now: "Those ref-hatin' towel-wavers".

Im all for it!!! If its done properly, it would be like rubbing it in Pittsburgh face. Don't you hate to see those little yellow towels in OUURR stadium? You won't on Sunday, bc they will be lost in a sea of purple.

I think everyone is just taking this as something that it isn't. I really just do not think it is an attempt to make this a traditional Raven "thing". I think it is a direct response to the yellow towels that we all know will be there on Sunday and showing the Nation that this is a Raven house by burying them under a sea of purple. No more, no less.

Or it'll just be yellow blotches in a sea of purple, which is pretty much how it always is. Towel waving doesn't change the color of the fans' clothes, most people wear purple anyway. I guess it makes for a more complete sea, fills in some gaps.

A few years ago, at the '08 home game vs Pitt, a guy a few rows down from us had a white towel that said "The Terrific Towel" with some other Raven related stuff on it. I got a kick of out that, but if that's not a sarcastic response, then i don't know what is, lol.

Come on guys (and girls). I think it's not a bad idea. Just want to drown out them dumb yellow towels. I don't think they are looking for this to be some kind of permanent thing. Plus they make great souvenirs. I’ll be there Sunday waving my arm off!

That's pretty cool. I just don't think it's as cool for the organization to hand out so many of these.

I get the idea of "drowning out" the yellow towels, but I think it looks stupid to show your appreciation by swinging around a rag. Unless, for instance, the fans all tied them around their fists and raised that. That would be a sight.
