Rapper Rips Off Chrono Trigger Song

14 posts in this topic

Was listening to 92.3 last night and heard a song with a familiar instrumental from an old video game. So I came home and investigated because Im a loser with no life lol. I found this though. This is why Rap is just horrendous these days

Ehh, I've heard worse atrocities in hip-hop lately. Everything Soulja Boy touches is horrid...

...except "LOL Smiley Face" with Trey Songz and Gucci Mane. It's just too catchy for me to hate, despite being possibly the dumbest R&B song I've ever heard. :P

This reminds me of something sort of off-topic.

When I was brutally tied down and forced to hear the song "Take it Off" (as in "Take it off the air"), I realized she ripped off the rhythm of an old kiddie rhyme that went (and I looked this up) "There's a place called France, where the women wear no pants, there's a hole in the wall..." et cetera. And you can see even the words were ripped off as well. Both are annoying.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is sometimes artists get things subliminally stuck in their heads from when they were young and they think they came up with what they remembered. Even though they should know better.

So Ke$ha's baccanalia ballad was a rip-off of another NSFW song; scintillating...

Was it? Is it? I don't really follow these people's work very well... What's NSFW?
EDIT: Oh, did you mean "not safe for work"? I was thinking NSFW stood for the name of some band I never heard of.

And hey, isn't Wad Khalfia the guy who wrote "Black and Yellow"? The Pittsburgh-related atrocity?

I hate the radio myself. Just a bunch of sellout mainstream garbage artists.

BTW it IS about Pittsburgh. Black and yellow are the colors of every Pittsburgh team.

If anyone is a fan of Final Fantasy VII in here then you should check this out:

If you're gonna pay homage to a classic video game then THAT'S the way it should be done.
