My Ravens/Bucs Experience

13 posts in this topic

Well Ravens fans I did my best today, I brought it for all 4 quarters and didn't let down. I may have no voice tomorrow, I was losing it a little bit by the 2nd quarter!! BUT it was sooo worth it, this was my first Ravens game I've been to.

Ravens offense again played 1 good quarter of football it seemed, but it was enough to get the W. That was something other people were talking about as well, when are the Ravens going to play a complete game? The Ravens defense might have played their best game today. The outcome of the game was really never in doubt, the crowd never seemed down or nervous.

I knew the Ravens offense couldn't be contained for the whole game.

Now, the Ray Rice TD that wasnt...I didnt see the illegal block while at the game, I guess something happened? The crowd was...upset, lets put it like that.

The Ravens are talented enough to go all the way, they still haven't played their best football. They need to rev it up and get to that point, peak at the right time. Joe threw that INT but he came right back and threw 2 TDs, he is making strides but he still needs to work on when to get rid of the ball and stop taking 10yd sacks.

Injuries, wow...this game had a lot, McClain went down, Oher got hurt, and that Dawan Landry hit..OMG, I jumped so far out of my seat when he laid that hit, then I saw he wasnt getting up and I started hoping he was okay!

I loved it, it was awesome seeing Ray Lewis do his dance, doing the HEAAAP cheer, etc. Great time

Now to fights in the crowd, haha, this girl in my row was fighting with some guy and she pushed him, he fell down like 2 rows of chairs, landed hard, got up and started throwing punches with some other guy, i guess it was the girl's BF? i'm surprised the guy wasn't hurt the way he landed, they were eventually escorted out

I've yet to go to a Raven's game. :34853_doh: I had money saved up for a ticket, but my car needed new brakes. It sucks being a poor college student. lol I can't wait to get there though! Im glad you had a good time!

The Highschool I attended is going to the state finals for football and they play at M&T Bank this Saturday. Im so excited just to get in the stadium. How lame am I? hahaha

Congratulations on going. I almost went because I was back in MD for the holidays. Glad I didn't buy the tix though or I would be driving until about 6AM. I have not been to a home game in 6+ years and when I was there I did not get to see anything like what you described at the end lol

You should definitely get the money together and go to a game sometime, I know it's tough being in college though. It's so different from watching on tv, everything seems so much bigger on television. In person a 15 yard catch didn't like much, haha, it's a great experience though especially if you love Ravens football.

The stadium is great, very clean, I've been to some stadiums that are just filthy.

Going to the game is always a good time.
"move those chains"
I'm glad you got to your first Ravens game and had a good time.
It may not have been the best example of a Ravens win, but it worked out in the end.

Did you check his twitter for any word on his status for next week?

Concussion? Sprain? Is he probable?

Same here man. I've been to a game but it was a long time ago, I don't remember it that well, just that it was against the Jags. I get to go to Terps football games for free whenever I want, but I doubt it's the same.

I love hearing these stories!
We have been PSL owners since the first year at Memorial. For us (unfortunately) a lot of things are just 'normal' now.

If you ever, EVER get a chance to see a Pitts game at M&T...GO!!!! There is no other game like it. Every year I go to this game it still gives me that first game experience/goose bumps.

Did you get to tailgate? We finally got into a tailgate lot 4 years ago and that makes the experience even better!

Good stuff man, glad you enjoyed it! I just attended my first Ravens game against Carolina and I couldn't have asked for more from it either. Now let's go win the division this week!

Yeah, we tailgated, we got to the stadium around 1pm, drank a few beers, ate a burgers and stuff. It was a great experience, it's like a huge family. It reminds me of the atmosphere at a metal concert, everyone is like brothers and we are all there for the same thing. If you fall down or something at a concert(moshpit) there are people lining up to help pick you back up. It felt the same way at the Ravens game...and I would LOVE to go to the Steelers game....God, I wish the tickets we had were for this week haha

Yes, I'd recommend to any fan, save your money and if you are going to attend a game spend the extra $100 and see Pitts at Baltimore. ;)
