I've been waiting for him to hit the field all year.
I'm anxious to see what he can do.

McKinney is too big and slow to rush and Kruger isn't stout enough to play inside, I have my fingers crossed that Jones is the answer to our problems up front (it would also allow us to move Kruger back to OLB)

I'm looking forward to his debut. He was a very good Defensive Tackle at Syracuse that slid because of injury (primarily) and I believe he'll be an effective run-stuffer, he never really showed a penchant for rushing the passer/collapsing the pocket at Syracuse.

Also, met the dude once and he was a very humble, down-to-earth, nice guy.

I heard Reeding was a bit banged up, but who isn't. If Jones does see some action today it means he has bust his butt and worked hard in practice up to this point.

I see Cody playing better since he has be allowed to play more, getting Jones involved in the defense is only a added bonus imo.

This is wonderful news. Something needs to be done about this DL, and I'm glad the staff is doing something about it.I pray that Jones impresses out there today, maybe force a fumble or get a sack or something.

Redding has not played the same since his concussion. Not that he did great before that, but he looked like he was getting in a groove and ready to bust out. Maybe throwing another guy in the mix will make guys like Cody and especially Gregg put in some more effort. I think they both look like they need more effort put in Monday-Saturday especially. And I hope whatever the answer is, that we get some consistency. We held Turner to very few yards then got man handled by the Panther's line.

Stats lie sometimes. The Panthers had almost as many rushing yards on one play as they did for the rest of their rushing attempts. They had 45 on one play and 22 yards on garbage time once the game was in hand.

On their other 19 carries they had 53 yards. Now I'm not sayonv we don't need to get better, because we do. However I think things aren't as bad as some of the numbers say.

Like others, I've been hoping he'd get an opportunity and I'm glad it's come today. I hope he seizes it and forces the coaches to keep him on the field.

Good, I've been anxious to see this guy. When you're the first one to check into training camp, you're in my good graces.

That's right, I have a doghouse, too.

That's someone that I really like about this coaching staff. If you go out and play well they will reward you with more playing time.

Tampa Bay Youth meet Baltimore Youth. Would love to see our defensive line with a 3 man front of Ngata-Cody-Jones and see how the Bucs line can handle it.

I honestly think his FLOOR is a solid run-stopping Left End in a 3-4 front.

From what I've read, you could be right.

I too look forward to seeing him start. I was really happy to see the Ravens
draft him and have waited for his first opportunity to play.
I'm also happy to see that someone else knows how to read stats and doesn't
believe the Ravens defense is as poor as most posters wold have us believe.

Yeah it was a -1,3,0 12 yd rushing kinda day for them. But the point s we let them get those large gains

Has wasn't credited with a single tackle(solo or assist) but according to Mike Preston, Jones played a "solid" game. He also said it was better than Cody's game against the Panthers, which isn't saying much but I'm hoping the coaches can continue to let him get his feet wet.
