What's the most exciting concert you've ever been to? Which concerts would you reccommend (I'm bored and have money to burn, so fire away). :disco:

My two favorite shows would be seeing Iggy Pop back in '02 at the Recher Theater in Towson. The other would be the Heartless [children born out of wedlock] in Chicago a few months back.

Motley Crue w/ Airbourne for the Dead of Winter tour in WPG. GNR(new) and Skid Row w/ Helmet would be second.

RHCP, Peter Frampton, Eminem and Pink Floyd/Roger Waters! (I know, one doesn't really fit, but I listen to it all)

Nice! The only band that you listed that I haven't seen as well would be Helmet, and they would have to be probably my favorite out of those.

Let's see, some of my favorites have been:
- C-U-LaTour (Ministry's Final Tour)
- Devildriver, Kataklysm, and Kittie (sadly)
- Chimaira Christmas 8
- Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Dragonforce
- Mayhem Fest '08
- Mayhem Fest '09
- Mayhem Fest '10

Ministry was the best concert I have ever been to. Guys' played three encores, it depresses me that I'll never get to see them again.

I've been to the Vans warped tour the last few years. seems like bands less and less known are there though. but its always cool to see up and coming bands before they hit their big fame.

I've also been to a few Papa Roach concerts. the one was at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA and they were with Nickelback, Saving Abel and Hinder. And the other very good one was at a small bar in Lancaster, PA. the bar was literally sold out and had probably about 1500 people in this small little area.

Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

Kanye West's "Glow In The Dark Tour" was just great. He really puts on a show and is so creative when it comes to what he does on stage, instead of walking around and screaming like Lil Wayne lol.

We had a thread similar to this one a while back and Zhamtao made the same joke. You're a little late.

But yes she did

the greatest concert I ever went to was 15 or 20 years ago`. It was a band from California called "Acoustic Shack"
One of those folk, husband and wife acoustic guitar and drum machine deals. Great band. I had liked them for some time. Well they played this tiny coffee house in Mt.Airy that sat twenty maybe thirty people. We had every bit of thirty or fourty people crammed in there. There was no PA, just the two of them and a guitar, even the drum machine was left out. It was so intamate and cozy. They spoke with people in the audience, and crap chatted. No question. The best show I had ever been to.

Seeing Iggy Pop, even though he's old and whatnot would have to be a great show. I wish I was old enough to have seen the Stooges, that would be mind blowing.

My favorite shows have been a lot of local stuff, that I won't get into, except for one, and they don't play anymore, but Lungfish (from Bmore) is always a great show.

There is an amazing post punk(?) band from the Netherlands called The Ex, and every show I've seen by them have been my favorite.
The energy in their shows is unmatched and they are one of the most creative and prolific bands I've ever heard.
However, their lead singer recently parted ways to work on his writing.

Seeing Nick Cave was amazing, and while it wasn't one of his more theatrical shows, the man is amazing and is also high energy and emotion.

Morrissey is also one of my favorite to see, he sounds just like his records when he sings, an amazing voice, and he's an amazing front man and puts on a great show.
I would dare to say that seeing Morrissey must be similar to Beatlemania, because everyone is screaming, people faint, people rush the stage towards the end during his set, just to touch, hug or kiss him.
I've never seen anything like that.

Seeing Robert Pollard/Guided By Voices is always a great time, and a bad hangover.
Robert Pollard is not only a very talented song writer, but he's a comedian in between the songs.
He does a lot of shots, and drinks a lot of beer on stage, the whole band does.
They sometimes have two buckets on stage, one for pee and one for puke.

I've seen the Cure as well, and they are very good if you like them, but not the best live show...

Pointless fact of the night, it took two people quoting that post to make me notice I had a typo (Dragonfore... :|)

But the dance moves.....you'd miss those dance moves. I hear ya.....they're as much as a pretender as the Steelers are (not really, but its Steeler week).
