Favre On The 09 Madden Cover!

is there a better candidate for ending the Madden Curse? :D

That's not true. Favre will only make things worse. He's on the cover and he won't even play in a single game this upcoming season.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. but its really fitting, it's the 20th anniversary of Madden and he retires at the same time so I guess it was meant to be.

I guess there's two sides to everything. The right way (mine) and the wrong way (Shao Khan's henchman's way)

This is a cool choice. I was thinking it would be Adrian Peterson or something, but BOOM! they hit us with a retired player.

I'd like to see another defensive player on the cover.

I would have liked a defensive player too, but hey, it's Favre.

The only time they put a defensive player on the cover was when they were trying to market the defensive side of the game. Didn't hurt that Ray Lewis is awesome, though.

Maybe in 2010 they'll have another defender. I can only hope.

seems only right for a Living Legend of the Game..... he wont be featured in the game as a "player" but he will be featured in the game in little Game video clips/highlights... which is only fitting for a humble/great guy particularly of his stature in the sports world.

superstition is a superstition lol.... if you start thinking/worrying about a such thing has this "curse" your overall performance will indeed suffer because of it simply because, your mind and body aren't on the same page as everyone else, nor are they both corresponding to what you want them to do.

If you keep those distractions away or at least to a bare minimal, the player/person can go out there and perform like they always had and produce...

its all in your mind.

No! NO! NOOO! I dont ever want to see another Raven on the cover of Madden. I'd rather be safe then sorry. I guess thats one of the advantages to being one of the least popular teams in the league.

Regarding the "curse" I think that Madden should only allow retired players to grace the cover just to be safe... Last year or the year before, LaDanian Tomlinson was asked to be on the cover and he declined but added it had nothing to do with the curse... yeah, right ;)

Maybe he should just put himself back on the cover.

So has anyone read about the new features? I've read they're redoing the camera system so that it zooms out to keep the receivers on the screen at all times. I'm pretty happy about that. I almost never use my WRs on offense, but it should make it a lot easier to keep track of what's going on when I'm playing defense. One of my biggest complaints has always been fighting the camera to play pass coverage manually. Trying to cover the flat zones or man up on a WR are nearly impossible tasks because of the camera. Hopefully this fixes that.

There's some other cool stuff that I can't remember--I'll try to find it.
