Peyton, And Brady Are Just Crazy Good.

14 posts in this topic

I've just been noticing over the years that Peyton and Brady are just such good QB's they make receivers who would other wise be practice roster players on other teams into big stars. Prime example being blair white (who???). No one had ever heard of this kid yet last week Peyton connected with him 2x for TD's. Peyton just throws the ball so well, receivers who are not that great look incredible, and then incredible receivers like Reggie Wayne, look outstanding! Same with Brady, and Danny Woodhead, Wood head is not only 5'8" but also played D2 in college, and is a rookie, yet he's become one of the mostversatile players on the team due to brady's deadly accuracy and precision. Imagine if one of those guys was QB for baltimore with 3 receivers that could be #1's on a good number of teams in the NFL. Peyton would probably already have 5000 yards passing.

Both of them are great player but they get too much credit in my opinion for playing with lesser-known players and supposedly "turning them into stars".

Guys like Pierre Pierre Garçon, Austin Collie, Blair White, Jacob Tamme wouldn't be in the league in the first place if they couldn't play. And the success all of them had in college is proof they have talent.

The same goes for Woodhead. He isn't versatile because of Brady's accuracy and precision. He's versatile because he's a good player and a much better athlete than people realize.

Have you ever noticed that great WR nearly always have a great QB (I'm sure I can think of a few exceptions if I thought about it), but great QBs don't necessarily have great WRs?
What I'm implying is that a great QB can make his WR better than what they are, but a great WR won't necessarily have that effect on a QB.

Look at Deion Branch for example, since we are talking about Tom Beiber. He had some solid seasons with Brady, but in Seattle, despite Seattle paying a 1st for him and making him the focal point of their passing game .... Branch was bleh ...

Is that all you wanted to say? If only we had all of the best players in the league, we'd dominate!

your sarcasm isn't appreciated, no one forced you to read this post. Obviously if we had the best players in the league we would dominate, I was just focusing on two players who make their receivers who are lesser known (albeit good athletes as some have mentioned) and make them look like pro bowlers, which frustrates me because Flacco is surrounded by 3 all pro receivers and can't produce even close to the same numbers. So if sarcastic comments are all you have to say, then you can just leave.

As pointed out in another thread, Flaccos pass attempts are a lot lower than Mannings and his stats are kind of comparable to Bradys...

Your point is debatable.

WithBranch, he not only floundered in Seattle because the QB throwing to him wasn't as good as Brady but also because of injuries and little support.

To me, a great WR can definitely make a QB better. Look at what Randy Moss and Cris Carter did for the QBs that threw to them in Minnesota. The QBs would simply toss it up and Moss would find a way to come down with it or throw the ball anywhere near the sidelines and Carter would make the grab. From statistics to general perception, WRs can make a QB look good.

Actually his production is similar, and for some reason you seem to think that Manning and Brady just showed up and were immediately veterans. Why are you comparing a QB in his third season to the two best QBs in the league? Does someone really have to explain to you why that's a bogus comparison?

Again, Flaccos numbers are comparable to Bradys and Mannings pass attempts per game do not make it a fair comparison....

I'm still and not sold on Brady being deserving of the elite status he's received.

I really hope this is sarcasm.
