You wouldn't be much of a fan if you didn't.
My dad was a die hard Bucs fan. He passed away a couple weeks before Week 1 this year. I really wish he could have been here to see his Bucs heading into a game with my Ravens with a 7-3 record and playing so well.

I said this in that one thread, and I'll say it again here: Gotta, gotta, gotta break out a 60-minute ball game right here, this Sunday. Tampa Bay's been specializing in the comeback this season, and the Freeman kid has been clutch. Playing like a Raven only seems to net us about a half of good football. We've gotta play like two Ravens this week.

Not that I'm doubting the Bucs as a legitimate team and you can only play the teams on your schedule but they've faced three teams with winning records this season and not only have they lost all three, they were blown out in two of them.

Freeman is a good young QB, Mike Williams is physically, the complete package at WR and a play-maker, Blount is a talented RB and Winslow can still make plays. Still, I feel even if they can give the Ravens trouble on defense, I don't see TB's defense stopping the Ravens assuming they start strong like they did last week, against Miami and Denver.

I'm interested to see Joe go against the cover 2.

That will be a factor as well.

If the Bucs are that close going into the fourth quarter, it's not going to go like this. Instead it's going to be a nail biter with a BUCS defensive stand defining the final winner, darned if I know who that would be.

Free has 18 TDs and only 5 interceptions, and he's at his best in the fourth quarter.

According to your fan base, your D isn't.

We shall see, in the end all predictions are wood smoke in a breeze.

There's nothing consistently wrong with the defense in the fourth quarter. I'm not going to get into that god-awful Atlanta game. However, ED20 brought up an extremely valid point regarding the Bucs and winning teams.

I do not think it's going to be that close going into the fourth, and even if it is, Baltimore is more than capable of putting it out of reach. Joe practically did it in Atlanta and he did do it in Pittsburgh. Not to mention, Tampa Bay has a problem rushing the passer (I'm sorry, I'm not going to believe that issue is solved after one game against San Fran), and they give up a lot of yards on the ground. Ray Rice is the perfect back to exploit that.

I'm not selling the Bucs short, I like Freeman. However, when he's going up against the top 10 teams in interceptions, he's thrown at least one pick (7th Cleveland, two to 2nd Atlanta, 8th Pittsburgh, 10th Cincinnati). Three of the teams he's gone up against are in the 20s for picks. So it's not like he's gone up against the strongest takeaway teams, but I'm not trying to sell him short.

It'll be a good game, but I think it's going to be very hard for Tampa Bay to walk out of M&T with a win, where Baltimore is perfect this season. But the one thing Tampa Bay does have going for it is the Cover 2. If they win, I have no doubt that will play a big part in it.

I do not even see a nail biter. We will be ahead all game like the Carolina game. No offense to the Bucs. They have played well, but as ED20 wrote, they have yet to beat a team that is on par with the Ravens. It will not be a route, but we will win handily.

You could be right, Free's been lucky a few times with the no-picks.

Considering that even Bucs fans were hoping for a six win season as a big improvement and everyone, I mean everyone, had circled this game as a solid, total blowout L, just the fact that the Bucs should be competitive has made this a lot more fun.

So if it comes down to the fourth quarter and the Bucs D can't quite hold, giving Baltimore the win, right now we value the effort as much as we do the wins, next year I think we'll turn the corner and make a deep playoff run but right now teams like the Ravens are what the young Bucs need, to deflate false pride while building a real base for success later.

Getting the win outright would be icing on the cake of course.

If you have Sunday ticket, go back and look at the Atlanta game. The Bucs in defeat played better than in most of their victories, and Peter King said it was the best game they'd played all season.

These Bucs are NOT the Carolina Panthers. They may lose but they will not lay down, not for the Ravens, not for anybody, the rest of the season.

Agreed, I watched parts of that game and the Bucs (like the Ravens) should have won in Hotlanta.

I think this will be very similiar to the Miami game, except Rice should have a monster game this week. Laugh at me now, but I'm expecting Rice to put up 170 - 200 yards rushing this week. This is the game it happens.A lot of people worry that Flacco will struggle against the Cover 2, but that cover 2 is going to result in some huge runs for Rice, and a generally consistent running game overall. This is the one time I am siding with the 'Run the ball more' crowd and hoping to see 25 carries from Rice and another 10 from McGahee. And Flacco's play action will be that much more effective, alleviating some of the concerns about playing against Cover 2.

Ours is newer, for what it's worth.

Both of our old record setters from Sunday still remain to tell of it to their younger teammates.

I don't think I'd say he's just been lucky. Don't get me wrong, the man's talented, more so than anyone probably would have thought at this point in time. I really don't think anyone at the start of the season would think Freeman would be 14 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions. However, Freeman hasn't gone up against someone in the secondary on the same level as Reed (Sharper was out), Polamalu is as close as it gets.

Regardless of anything else, I don't want to let the Bucs hang around and be close at the start of the fourth. Freeman has been good in the fourth, and I don't really want to risk it.

Freeman has 4 or 5 game winning drives in the 4th quarter already in his career. Wow,talk about being clutch. I feel like he's gonna be the best qb from his draft seeing how Stafford can't stay healthy

Here's the thing...all the teams they have beaten have losing records
One can just as reliably say that all the teams they have lost to, have winning records. They have not lost to even one team with a losing record.

Can the Ravens say that?

Yes, we can say that dating all the way back to 2007 season.
