Upcoming Schedule

54 posts in this topic

As most of you guys know, we have TB, Pitt, @Hou, NO, @Cle, and Cin coming up

I think we will go 5-1 in these next few games, but I'd be content going with 4-2.

What do you guys think?

As long as the 1 in the right hand column is at the hands of the Steelers Im in total agreement with your 5-1 prediction...Steelers schedule their last 4 games clearly favors them over the Ravens so if the Ravens dont win that game against the Steelers even if they go 4-0 against Houston,New Orleans,Cleveland, and Cincy they are still going to have a hard time winning the North based on division tiebrakers...

I think that, odd as it sounds, Tampa Bay is where we really need to break out our 60-minute ball game.

Think about it: They're a fourth quarter come from behind team, and we're faltering in the fourth quarter. They seem to have an excellent power running game, and we're struggling against the run this year. I honestly do think we'll win it, but when I was thinking about the schedule this preseason I checked this off as an easy win. I may have been a little hasty.

Houston I believe we can handle - they may even be self-desctructing around the time we show up, after all these heartbreaking losses. Pittsburgh is always tough, but in our house I think we can handle them. New Orelans, same deal. Drew Brees will obviously be able to pick apart any secondary if you give him time, so the trick is to not give him time. If we played them in New Orleans, I'd be very hesitant about that game. I'm growing more and more wary about Cleveland, but I don't think we'll underestimate them at all. Cincinatti is a division game and can hardly be taken lightly, but Joe will be looking to atone for that second week and by then, TO and Chad Ochocinco will be thoroughly demoralized. There are no definites in the NFL, especially this year, but I figure us for at least 3-3, but we stand a good chance of going 4-2 or better. I have no illusions about winning out: we're going to lose either New Orleans, Pittsburgh, or Tampa Bay. Of the three, I'd choose Tampa Bay.

(If I turn out to be wrong about winning out, though, I will be gleeful about the crow I eat.)

Home vs Bucs Our defense will hold them to 2 TD
Home vs Steelers Nail-biter
Away at Texans Texans: worst run-defense, Rice field day
Home vs Saints They're riddled w/ injuries
Away at Browns (3-7): overrated
Home vs Cincy Playing worse than Cleveland

The only game I'm worried about is Pittsburgh. I expect the Ravens to go at least 5-1 from this point out.

Their all nail bitters. I'm just hoping we are the one that find ways to win.

it depends on which Ravens show up and for how long.

I dont think I have ever seen this team as inconsistant as they have this season. Not only game to game but quarter to quarter.

No question we CAN beat each of these teams, I am not sure we will.

Steelers, Bucks, and Saints could pick apart our secondary the same way The Pats and the Bills and others have.

Hillis is a steamroller, and our run D has been warm asphault.

It sounds bizzare and out of place to say this but our defense will be the determining factor. I think offense will be just fine on all these matchups.

I think 5-1 is very doable. TB next week is going to be a big game. I'm kinda worried cuz Joe tends to struggle against the cover 2, but I think we will be able to run the ball well.

Steelers is obviously a huge game, and I am sure it will be close. I think being at home and Pitt's O-line worries will give us the edge though.

Saints may actually be the hardest game b/c they are starting to get healthy and are playing really well. Drew Brees is scary good if he has time to throw.

Houston is falling apart, and there is no way that Peyton Hillis runs over our defense again.

Cincy is scary just because they seem to have our number. Hopefully they completely implode by then =)

I think we're capable of winning all six. Shockingly, I'm most worried about going to Cleveland, but they will only be playing for pride... so maybe we have no reason to be.

Cincinnati should be a gimme. Houston is falling out of the race, but they're not a bad team. I think we will beat the Steelers and TB. Hopefully we can handle the Saints.

I think we can go 6-0, but it's really too hard to call some of these. This ending schedule isn't easy and we really can't overlook anyone.

we are definitely capable of beating each of those teams, but whether or not we come out and play a complete game will be the deciding factor. We cant afford to have lapses against any team. This season has been crazy, there really isnt much separating the top 10-12 teams in the league.

What did Billick say, "Go in like a Banshee....." thats what we need to do at the Pittsburgh Game. Hopefully, our Power runs will be in order, our O & D lines, and secondary will be set, because I am sick and tired of theses Yellow towel waving idiots coming down here thinking their team is the greatest in the land.

Make no mistake, this will be the biggest game of the year. That being said, lets focus on Tampa, because they can do some damage themselves. They took Atlanta to the wire in Atlanta.

4-2. With losses to the Saints and the Bengals. I wouldn't be surprised either if Foster and Andre tear up our D for a win on Monday night. So at worst, we finish 10-6

For me I think the hardest games left on our schedule and the ones that will probably give us more grey hairs lol is Steelers and Saints.

That being said I think we have enough to beat the Bucs and Texans.

Bengals seem to have fallen apart since we played them during the second week, atleast that's what it looks like to me.

The Browns are winnable as long as we stop Peyton Hillis. The guy is so big,you just need more than one tackler to get him down.

I think we'll have maybe one or two more losses.I'd be surprised if we only loss one more game or no games.

Oh and look at tampas wins and losses. The teams they have beat are among the leagues very worse, and the teams they lost to happen to be the only quality teans they have played. I beleive out if the teams they have beaten, the rams have the most wins...the rams. Tampa bay is heavily frauding right now and we should be able to take care of business at home this sunday

I don't care if we are playing the Texans. The last time I checked, it was a Monday Nighter. When we usually suck. Especially after coming off of an emotional game against the Steelers. That has trap game written all over it.

haha, I hope you get a plateful of crow

I think worst case is 4-2. Saints and Steelers are obviously the two games that worry us most. I'm glad we play both those games at home, and I'm definitely glad we play PIT first, because it will give our offense a real test and keep them sharp, because our offense will need to carry us through that game against the Saints.
Also glad we play HOU before the Saints, since they are the poor man's version (okay, brokeass version) of the Saints.

I dont see us losing both those games (PIT and NO). I think we take it to the Steelers pretty hard and get a solid win over them. The Saints game, we can definitely handle them, especially at home, but whether that happens or not...we'll see. They have a lot of favorable matchups, but same applies to us. That may be the game of the year right there.

Of all we have left, I am worried about the Saints the most. Steelers will be a nailbiter but I think we find the pride and the way to win in our own house. (hopefully Cam is not too proud or too stupid to follow the Pats example) As others have said the Bucs are pretenders and the Texans and Bungals have or are about to implode. The Browns I expect to give us a real fight, but we will best them. That will be a good game I think. So 5-1 likely (loss to the Saints) but possibly 6-0.

We HAVE to beat the Steelers. Losing to the Bengals was huge, especially because they're so bad. We can't be hoping for the Steelers to lose to the Bengals or Browns later in the season. If we win that game, we can win the division at 12-4. Look at their upcoming schedule compared to ours:

Steelers:

at Bills
at Ravens
Bengals
Jets
Panthers
at Browns

Ravens:

Bucs
Steelers
at Texans
Saints
at Browns
Bengals

So they have the Bills, Jets and Panthers and we have the Bucs, Texans and Saints. If we lose to the Steelers, we lose the division.

I hope not too man haha but that's how I think it's going to pan out. the Steelers game is pretty much 50/50 and Cincy is going to want to spoil our run.

That's what I have been saying on here as well. If the Steelers beat the Ravens in Baltimore unless the Steelers drop a game in the division at home to Cincinnati or on the road at Cleveland the Steelers could still lose that game at home against the Jets and beat the Panthers of course and finish 12-4, and the Ravens could win out their last 4 games and finish 12-4 and still lose the division tiebraker because of that Bengals loss early on in the season...

I was talking defensively - two of the games we've lost have gone down in the fourth quarter.

i see it like that: if we are meant to go to the playoffs or superbowl this year we should find a way to win all those games. i don´t take anyone of it easy but i think if we wanna go to the playoffs we have to go at least 5-1. i think we can win them all if we are able to play our best football against anyone of them. if we are able to play our best it doesn´t matter how good the other team is because our best is better than the rest!!!!

Not too many true Ravens fans here....6-0 the rest of the way. If you think we are going to lose at home, please come out to the game. Only road games at Cleveland and Houston, yeah we have those.

I think worst case scenario 3-3... but the question is do you think we could make the playoffs in the AFC this year with a 10-6 record??

So, unless you say 6-0, you're not a "true" fan? Oh boy, here comes a revolt against you.

Its called being a realist. I would love nothing more than to finish 13-3 and walk right into the playoffs with a bye, but 5-1 and even 4-2 are still very plausible.

I hate statements like the one you just made!
