The propellant used to cause the "explosion"

Not to mention the air bag hits you at 200mph.

I assume that had something to do with inserting contact lenses?
Nope, using a sledge without safety glasses, like an idiot.

What's it like having a cut on your eye? Can you see through it?

Okay, you were talking about my eye. I didn't put neosporin on my eye. Yes you can see out of it, but it hurts like all get out. Feels like there's a piece of jagged metal in your eye, but you can't flush it out no matter what you do. The best is when they numb it.

I live in mortal fear of airbags since I am latex allergic, if the crash doesn't kill me the anaphylaxis will. I think the newer airbags may be nylon instead of latex now.
Airbags can leave some serious burns.
Yes, for quite some time airbags have been made of a soft burlap type material. More recently they have been trying to cut down on the burns by reducing the amount of charge needed based on driver size weight and seat position as well as vehicle speed.

Since we are on this note, people driving down the highway in the passenger seat with their feet resting on the dash board (ie air bag)

idiots...

Well, hell, Im in this thread again......

Rolled the ankle (same ankle I broke when I was in HS and the same ankle that had an air cast while walking down the aisle from my bachelor party the weekend before....dont ask) in our first playoff game this evening (we lost, btw).

Just wanted to report the latest medical marvel that I have so graciously presented myself with.

Pics are available for $2, via Paypal :P

Kinda late on this one, but always a good "Did You Know..." fact --... you're only supposed to use peroxide on a wound when it happens? After that, don't use it again. The peroxide will actually eat-away the new tissue trying to grow.

Also, for small cuts & scrapes, use super-glue.

Lastly, buy an aloe plant.

I've always had super-glue & aloe in/on my desk at work. You just never know... Damn paper-cuts! Whoever invented paper-cuts should be shot! :34853_doh: Shot & denied medical treatment!
Take longer for my finger to heal? That makes a lot of sense actually.

I learned after having my nurse girlfriend correct me about it multiple times.

How's the finger looking now, Wardy?

Good idea. I'll do that tonight, thanks. I just got the shot a few weeks ago for having scratched my cornea.
You got a tetanus shot for a scratched cornea??????? What you do...scratch your eye with a rusty nail?

I'd be embarrassed if I had to show it to you as it looks as thought nothing happened. lol

Yes, as a matter of fact. I believe what I hit was a rusty hinge with the sledge and a piece of it skipped off of my eye.

More less. Just keep in mind the super-glue will only work so long as you can pinch the skin on both sides of the cut together. Also, be sure to wash it out before applying the glue as not to close up any possible infectious materials. Don't worry about drying it -- water accelerates the drying process of super-glue.

your lucky with your eye. I know A older man who is blind in one eye. Playing in a hay stack as a child, and someone threw some at him, and a piece of straw stabbed right into his eye. freak accident.

Ouch! Yea Bohb, I agree. I definitely knew I was lucky. I only intended to take a swing or two with the sledge so I didn't have my safety glasses on (not like me). Never again.

Um... I said super-glue. Gorilla Glue doesn't not fall into that category.
