Who Else Is Tired?

10 posts in this topic

Is it me or is anyone else just plain sick of hearing about Manning vs. Brady all week, forgetting that it is Colts vs. Patriots. Then we have to hear about Dallas every single week about their fall from grace and being a Superbowl Contender and now how they can play upsetter all season. Then we move on to Brett Favre. Hes the best ever, hes been playing well, hes been playing badly. I mean come on sports columnist. How much can you talk about the same thing over and over and over without people wanting to eat their fingers off their hands. I just watch the games on thursday, sunday and monday now because I just cant take hearing about the same ol stories for the whole dog gone hour. There is more going on than just these little stories that you guys seem to glorify and use to fill a whole show up with.

I dont care to hear about Brett Favre and his ankle for 15 minutes or Manning vs Brady for 30 mins and then Dallas for another 15. After they talk our heads off about these subjects, the show is over and most of the time, fans are left wondering why their team wasnt even mentioned on the show and that goes for almost any sports program on any network besides local stuff. Get it together and find more stuff to write/talk about.

PS. Michael Vick, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are moving into the conversations quite a bit as well.

I'm more tired of the Mike Vick story than anything else. They act as if his career has been completely salvaged by just this season's performance. He still has to prove that this season isn't a fluke by repeating it next year and beyond.

I'm not fatigued by the Manning-Brady story, mainly because it's been de-emphasized the past two seasons. It just doesn't have the same luster it once did, mainly since we know we should expect a dramatic showdown with some flashy plays.

I'm right there with you.

The Manning-Brady is more tolerable than the Flacco-Ryan comparison.

It's sensationalism. I hate it. I especially hate it if a team loses and people are asking for coordinators to be fired. Or when analysts basically exaggerate a loss.

Hate is a strong word but I mean it! :argh:

Speaking of "sensationalism" Mark Sanchez I have really grown tired of. If you actually watch the game he's not impressive. Yet every analyst says how great he is. Cannot stand it.

I will give Sanchez credit for that last-minute TD pass, but there's something to be said about the Jets defense allowing all those points and yards when they are purportedly the "best" in the business. How is it that the Ravens defense gets all this (deserved) criticism but the Jets get a free pass after allowing the Texans, Lions, and Browns all hang around?

Why do you think Rex keeps up with his shenanigans of running his mouth (and recently dressing up like his brother)? To pull attention away from his under performing defense.

I'm certainly tired of the Manning/Brady and Favre discussions and it won't be long before the Vick begins to irk me. What's he's doing is amazing but he wouldn't have had to salvage his career had he not torpedoed it himself.

I'm glad this tread was started, I especially hate the entire Favre coverage.
I used to respect the guy, well I still kinda do, but the media makes me hate him, even though I know that choice is up to me.
Everytime I put on NFL network, and they run a few pressers after the games, they show Favre speaking 10 times longer than anyone else.
They also show Vikes highlights, because of Favre 10 times more, at least it seems that way, than any other team.
Dudes name doesn't even make sense, it should be Favre, not Fav-re.
I was hoping to see some of Harbaughs presser after the game, if they showed it, I missed it, but I'm sure it was slightly 2 minutes or less, and when far-ve gets up there it's 20 minutes of a sad old man.
I'm sick of it. The NFLN will tease you with Ravens footage or a promise of talking about them, and it's usually for one play, or a very brief statement, like Ed Reed will be playing this week, and that's it, after suggesting their is a big segment coming up about it, or the Ravens in general.
That's television for you, that's what they do, that's how they have decided it works.
