Mike Mayock Should Draft Ryan

7 posts in this topic

MATT RYAN IS A MEDIA MADE TALENT. THAT MEDIA BRAIN WHO MADE HIM IS HIS CO-ALUMNUS MIKE MAYOCK!!!!! MAYOCK IS ALSO A FRIEND OF THE RYAN FAMILY! WHAT DON'T PEOPLE SEE?

Ryan threw 19 interceptions to 31 touchdowns in 2007; 10 interceptions to 15 touchdowns in 2006. His 2 most significant seasons he threw 63% as many interceptions as he did touchdowns! His completion percentage in 2007 was 59.3%. THAT IS NOT A TOP 10 TALENT MY FRIENDS!

Matt Ryan reminds me of Dan Marino. In four seasons at the university of Pittsburgh Marino completed 693 of 1204 for 8597 yards, 79 TDs and 69 INTs. Thats a 51% comp rating? if my math is right lol, and look at his TD to int ratio.

Yep Dan Marino turned out to be a Bust.. Hmm

Dan Marino was taken as the last QB in the 1st round of the 83 draft tho.

Anyone who just looks at stats is an idiot.

Stats are HUGE in leading up to the draft. Whether its through college or combine stats, they have an effect on any and every team's decisions to draft in one way or the other, in small manners and large manners.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Brohm is the best QB in the draft (which isn't saying a lot), if Ozzie and the front office are looking for a QB to start (since Ozzie apparently doesn't have any faith in Troy or Kyle <_< ) it needs to be Brohm. He faced a lot more big talent than Ryan did and is more ready to be a starter in my honest opinion. I'm not saying Matt Ryan is a bad quarterback because he is not, but I don't think any QB in this draft is worth a top 10 pick.

Stats from 25 years ago dude. Get real! You didn't finish.

Record-holder in passing yards for season (2,876 in 1981) and career (8,597); in passes attempted and completed for season (226 of 380 in 1981) and career (693 of 1,204), and in TD passes for season (37 in 1981)

Passing wasn't nearly as much a part of the game then as indicated by the yardage total and proficiency wasn't as important as today. I watched Marino play in his senior year and many of his passes were dropped. There isn't a stat to account for that.

Because it was 25 years ago that dont matter? what the heck does that have to do with anything? Yea He was the record holder for all that crap, but its all the same.. pass % completions is what matters and the TD to Int ratio. Alot of Ryan's passes were also dropped, and alot of the INT was his recievers fault and not his, But it always gets blamed on the QB. Ryan's footwork and mechanics look just like Marino's and like I said His TD to INT ratio in College looks like Marino's.
