Bucs At Ravens

A good matchup, and I guess the league agrees. I like the late afternoon games; by the 3rd/4th quarter, it gets dark and the stadium lights come on. Looks great, on TV. Probably freezing, in person.

Here's the official release from the NFL that shows the new Sunday, November 28th schedule including the flexed games: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/News/Articles/2010/11/Press_Release_-_Week_12_Flex_Scheduling.aspx

The later the better... it's gonna be cold, especially once it gets dark, and those Florida teams don't like cold weather.

As a Ravens fan who lives in Florida, I can guarantee you that the Tampa Bay team will spend the entirety of their time huddled on the sidelines going, "Crap, man, I think I'm getting frostbite. Can you feel your toes? I can't feel my toes."

Why does the NFl do this to us? I hate the cold!
But its better for the matchup. Just dress warmer. You have the luxury unlike the players.

Darn. I prefer the 1:00 games. It's going to be miserably cold (and dark) by game's end.

I'd be happy to go in your stead, protecting you from the bitter, bitter cold :) ^_^

you want cold who was at the bears game last yr that was COLD
I was. And I can contest. Coldest sporting event ever (for me). I was against the back wall that opened up to where the concessions were and the wind just whipped. Plus there were snow banks everywhere (after the giant snowstorm) so it was like a freezer.

I love the cold! I wear flip flops all year long (not during this game). Haven't broke out my jacket yet this year. But I thought I was going to die during that game. I couldn't feel any of my hands or feets.

The coldest games for me were the Redskins game in 2008 and the Packers game in 2005 where we destroyed Brett Favre and company right before Christmas (48-3).

The Denver playoff game, 2000. Now THAT was cold.

Since I've never missed a home game (yet), I've been there for all of the cold ones. The worst are always when there's ice where your feet need to be.

Thank goodness for whomever invented ToastieToes.

I hate when they do this totally lame move
Makes it very difficult to watch any other games that day if your attending the game which is the norm for me
If it's cold which safe bet says it will be you'll freeze more than the 1pm standard chill mode

A vote a big thumbs down
Funny this always happens yet we never get the early season night games here on a balmy sept or oct night :34853_shakehead:

Denver, Greenbay MNF when Favre retired the first time and Redskins then da Bears were the coldest for me. I missed the Vikes in 2002 because it was s school night. We have out of the area people coming I for this game so we have to change some reservations. I may complain about the cold but nothing will keep me away.

That Redskins game was so cold! I was sitting up in the nosebleeds, so it was even worse way up there.

nationally televised huh?...Fox game...Buck and Aikman?
Well considering there's Packers Falcons, Vikes Redskins and Eagles Bears all on FOX that same week, I'd say it's unlikely.

Are they done flexing for the entire rest of the schedule or have they only done weeks 11 and 12 so far? Because week 15, they're scheduled to have the Skins Boys and Saints Ravens game both at 1 on FOX. Please, fix that!!! :34853_brickwall:

I'm not sure what else is on that week, but it's possible that could be flexed to 4:15 or even the Sunday night game, unless FOX protected it.

It makes it easier for me to go to the game when it is later, I have to work Sundays... >.<

But honestly one of the coldest games I have been to was the Steelers game in 2007 where it was like 30 degrees but it was raining... I didn't mind though because he totally kicked their butts. (:

Oh wow... well I would think for that week it might be moved to the Sunday Night Game... but just looked and it might not considering GB vs NE is scheduled as the Sunday Night Game. So Saints vs Ravens may be moved to 4:15 because of it being the Skins/Boys.

Especially ones that have yet to beat a team with a winning record.

I'm glad to see this. Living out here in Colts territory makes it tough to watch the Ravens games all the time, so a 4:15 game at least gives me a shot. I don't know how much the cold will hurt the Bucs since they run the ball pretty well, and especially when you consider how much a lot of Southern teams love their passing game it's impressive what they can do on the ground. However, they've definitely depended on Josh Freeman when the game is on the line, and he cold slowing him down will be helpful if it's close at the end.

You guys are gonna smash them.

There's no way the Buccaneers are gonna take you guys down in your house.

Plus, if you guys won, it would help us out. ;)

I was hoping the Saints game would get flexed to prime time as well, but I checked the schedule and New England is playing Green Bay for the SNF game. Also, the Jets are playing the Steelers so that would be another game that could of gotten flexed besides our game.
