What do you make of his prescence on the team so far and what do expect him to contribute for the rest of the season?

Drops too many balls, talks too much (whether misconstrued or not doesn't matter to me....just stop talking, period) and is too far down the pecking order to have a major impact.

Boldin
Mason
Heap
Rice
McGahee
TJ/Stalls

Edit: I like the guy, just don't see him making a huge impact. The Steelers catch was/is enough for me, though!

He draws PI quite often and is good for about a catch or two a game. I don't see things changing much unless Q or Mason go down.

What I do like is that Cam has created a package where he and Stallworth are the X and Z receivers and Q and Mason are on the sidlines. I thought my eyes were deceiving me when they did it against the Dolphins but I noticed a few snaps with that formation against the Falcons.

I like Dickson, but what do you guys think Pitta's role will be in the future?

Dickson and Pitta no. 1 and 2 TE. Heap won't be around forever.

I understand that. I guess we'd just have 2 (hopefully) starting caliber tight ends for the future.

Either can be split out wide, as well

Dickson is getting snaps now but I think a big part of that might be because of his athleticism. When he and Pitta are battling just each other for snaps, I wouldn't be surprised if neither guy really separates from the other because they're both so good.

Whatever happens, TE is going to remain a strength.

Totally agree. I believe it was the Denver game(?) where Flacco's first pass was a deep bomb to Dickson, and he went up to get it. Definitely a good sign.

Yep. If I remember correctly, Dickson absolutely left Dawkins on that play but Joe underthrew the ball. Still, Dickson came back, caught the ball and dragged Dawkins a full 10 yards.

It will be a very sad day in Baltimore when he (or Ray, or Ed Reed) retires, but you're right.

I think Housche hasn't had a ton of passes so I don't know what to think... I know he talks a lot, and he needs to get open if he wants balls. Actions speak louder than words. I think he should remain on the team but if he doesn't deliver at all for the rest of the season I wouldn't be opposed to releasing him.

He's only signed this year, so its a question of whether he's signed again. But I think you're right that the next 7 games will decide whether we resign him or not (of course Masons impending retirement will play a part as well).

While I've always been a Housh defender, I have noticed a disturbing trend the last couple of weeks. He isn't fighting nearly as hard for the ball anymore. I know Flacco didn't throw him a great ball, but it looked like he almost dogged it for the throw.

I think hes lost his fire for playing football. Or at least for playing with the Ravens. His situation is very reminiscent of the Moss situation.

He did win us the game against Pit, but at this point I wish we hadn't signed him. I much rather see what Reed could do.

he made the game winning td against pittsburg, he's a great person to have on our team
Yeah he had his David Tyree Moment and sure he draws PI but other than that, what else has he done? Nothing.

He came cheap and is a nice third WR that allows Boldin/Mason to get better looks since they can't simply ignore him. At this point it doesn't matter about numbers..just make crucial plays when in passing situations.

I find it weird that TJ saw his most targets of the season in the first game against the Jets, when he had like a week in the offense.

Did Houshmandzadeh have more targets in the Jets game than he had against the Steelers?

With Mason breaking his fingers the last two weeks Housh may be a blessing if Mason ever needs to rest his hands. They are practically the exact same player.

Remember they were picking on Cromartie whoever Cromartie lined up on (he kept switching between Housh and Boldin) Thats where Flacco threw the ball.

Oddly enough but I believe so, I re-watched the Jets game the other day and was shocked at how often the ball was thrown his way.

Well thats not entirely true, they picked on Kyle Wilson enough to make Rex second guess giving him no help for the rest of his life. Regardless, Wilson is a better nickel than some of the weak nickels we've faced since.

Housh brings almost nothing to the team. He needs to be moved to #4 and let Stallworth move to #3 so we have a diverse corps who can expand the offense. I don't even want to see Housh on the field unless Mason or Boldin are hurt, or we go 4 wide. Just my opinion anyway.
