If The Ravens Were In The NFC West....

Could you imagine if the Ravens were in the NFC West... We would be 2 games ahead of the Rams and probably be the best team in the NFC, even though we lost to the Falcons.

The Ravens belong in the AFC North. They don't always win the division and have struggled more often than not against the Bengals and Steelers(when they have Ben) but you're rarely left wanting for excitement in this division and I love physical football.

Being 4-4 in the AFC North commands much more respect then going 8-0 in the NFC West. The division while improving is still a joke. The benefit of playing in the AFC North is that every game is a tough game so when playoffs roll around we are ready. The downside to the West is that when the playoffs roll around you realize all your games were preseason.

The fact is if you told me that the 49ers/Rams/Cards/Hawks were 12-4 going against a 9-7 Steelers/Ravens/Browns/Bengals team. I Would choose the latter to win any day of the week. The odds are I would probably be right. Records are nice but if all you play all year are pop warner teams then who cares.

We're AFC through and through..I'd be distraught if the NFL moved us over there. We are part of the best conference (my opinion of course) in football. The AFC has the distinction of being the toughtest conference in football. The AFC North is feared, because we play hard-nosed, smart football. We belong in the AFC, as Ravens.

Why would we want to lose the beautiful rivalry we have with Pittsburgh for the sake of a few cheap wins? Baltimore and Pittsburgh make each other better teams.

everyone says the nfc east/ nfc beast is the best in football. hence, they have a primetime game every week! inluding the redskins get primetime games even after going 4-12.

Well, they have a lot of teams that used to be what the AFC is today..the NFL is NOTHING without its parity. Some guys are just stuck in the past. The NFC used to be the class of the NFL, now it's the AFC. That's definitely the best thing about this game.

We are who we are because where in a hard nosed division like this.

The Steelers/Ravens rivalry is the best in football. Both of the teams make each other better. We wouldn't be tested very tough if were in the NFC west. Sure we'd have great records, but we'd lose in the playoffs, because playing in the West makes you an overall weaker team IMO.
