Boldin's Angry Tirade

46 posts in this topic

This is why I love Anquan. After Joe threw a incomplete pass to Housh (while Boldin was WIDE OPEN) He stormed of the field and started yelling at the whole offense. I'm glad he did, but I find it kinda sad that Joe hadn't done it earlier.

Joe will never be that guy. McNabb and Eli aren't fiery leaders; Rodgers doesn't seem to be but all three have success and are good QBs.

That's something we need and I applaud Boldin for doing it. Joe isn't the in your face kind of guy. He lets his play do the talking and I can respect that.

While I firmly believe Q was encouraging the team to play better, he was definitely angry because he hadn't received a single target in the first half. Not only should Rice have seen more rushes in the first half when he was clearly having success but it's an absolute crime that a WR of Q's ability doesn't even see a screen pass in an entire half of football.

I thought Q went off after the Joe threw the INT.

We need that kind of attitude on offense, which is exactly why he was brought in as opposed to Brandon Marshall. We need the vocal leader on offense, light a fire under the players and get them going. Notice what happened. Our offense started getting hot. I'm sure Boldin will give them a similar speech next game...only this time I hope he does it BEFORE the game!

Man the offense should go into EVERY game wanting to dominate, wanting to win. It shouldn't take an angry Anquan to wake them up. They should have the fire they had second half yesterday at ALL times. Same goes with the Defense. I hope Q's speech left a mark on their mindset.

I was complaining to my friends all game about our lack of Boldin involvement. Where are the wide receiver screens? There are so many ways to involve him.

Boldin should have 7-10 catches per game, he is a beast and always open!

I really thought he was going to break a couple for huge gains. There was one play where he caught the ball I think on a quick slant, and he turned inward into the defender and he had all kinds of running room to the outside.

No matter what happens at the end of this season, I am so glad that the Ravens traded for Q. I still can't believe we got him for a 3rd and a 4th. The way he turned the offense on was great to see, and not only does he talk and pump up his team, but he proves what he says with his skills on the field week in and week out. Hopefully next year, he and Rice will be the focal points of our offense, with Stallworth and a rookie WR on the outside. Kind of done with Housh, and Mason will more than likely hang them up.

It's about time you have a player stepping up and being a leader besides Ray Lewis. No offense but it's kinda true.

If Flacco wants to have great success, he's gonna have to start being a leader and getting into people's faces. Every time they showed Flacco last night, he had the same expression on his face and not doing much about his team losing the game.

He did come back with a great drive and brought your team back. But in the end the Falcons came out with a win anyway.

Somebody is gonna have to start leading your team besides Ray Lewis.

That is false. The expression on his face matters little. In crunch time, he played his fanny off and put his team ahead. Eli Manning rarely has "fired up" expression on his face but he's had success. Joe Montana was known for his laid-back demeanor and I'm pretty sure he had success.

Terrible terrible pass, Boldin had every right to be angry.
It's those kinds of plays that make you wonder whether Joe makes his decisions pre-snap at times or is told where to throw the ball.

Yeah, but safety over the top on the cover 2 would have snagged it even if it was actually thrown right....that had INT written all over it regardless

Houshmandzadeh had a step on Grimes but with the safety coming over the top, there was literally no room to complete that pass. Q, Heap, Rice or Mason would have all been better options on that play.

Yes....any deep coverage D (cover 2, prevent etc) should allow Rice to eat up huge chunks....oh Cam!

What? They did run screen last night. That they didn't run one in that situation is armchair quarterbacking.
