How To Play Like A Raven

8 posts in this topic

Hey there kid...yes you, would you like to play like a Raven? Well follow me to the fantastic facilities of the Baltimore Ravens where we train every one like you to be a Raven.

Lets start you off at corner back. You see that big guy across from you that's the Wide Receiver and your main goal is to attempt to tackle him...what he looks scary? Yeah your right, here at the Ravens facility we stress player safety, and the best way to do that is minimize collisions. So when he gets the ball I want you to run up on him, and trip on your face making it appear like you tried, but really you just let the next guy make the tackle. Collision averted rookie!

Now you might be saying to yourself, "Hey 60 minutes is pretty long to play a game of football." And you would be right, so that's why here in Baltimore we have taken a new approach to only play 30 minutes of a game. We suggest you bring your iPod, or other digital device on the field to pass time while allowing the other team to gas themselves from running down the field time, and time again.

Oh you don't want to play corner back you say? How about offensive line? Now while many other teams try to protect their franchise QB we take a radically different approach. We give out stickers to the guy who can let their defender get by them the fastest and pressure the QB. Bonus stickers are given for every bad play made by the QB due to said pressure.

So Jonny by practicing these 3 things you may very well be on your way to playing like a Raven.

I think you've accurately recreated a day at the Castle, and I'm infinitely positive that you know exactly what you're talking about.

Who's bright idea was it to let Jimmy Leonard go anyway, that dude was a baller, and could return punts. I'd trade Landry for him any day

Jim Leonhard's.. Followed Rex to NY of his own accord. Landry is stronger against the run but Leonhard definitely had him beat in coverage and PR..

Yeah, Landry is much better physically, but Jim is/was a flat out playmaker, who has an insane amount of heart.
