Steelers V Pats

they were dominated unlike the ravens who gave them the game steelers never had a chance

If by "they" you mean William Gay, then you're right. Losing Hines hurt too, but Gay got beat like a drum by a rookie TE. He is our Frank Walker.

Us Raven fans know too well that you're only as strong as your weakest link. Fortunately we got rid of our Frank Walker, who also happens to be the actual Frank Walker. Haha.

Damn your good. You should look into being a professional future-caller-thingy.

I need $1000 in seed money, you in? I'm 100% accurate 100% of the time. We cant fail.

Yea gay got beat pretty badly tonight. Not going to lie though Polamalu seemed like he was out of position quite often in coverage, possibly in the run to(i wasn't paying that much attention). I am in the small minority of fans(not just ravens but overall NFL fans) that believe Polamalu is overrated, when it comes to coverage of course. Cant wait to see the blowback from that comment. I mean no disrespect to the steelers or there fans but its just my opinion.

So what's up with the Steelers fans closing up shop early in the 3rd? The stadium was a ghost town in the 4th.

Fans showing their utter disappointment with the game plan, execution and overall performance. Can't say I blame them. And that happens in EVERY stadium in the league. Including yours.

But not to that extent. Every seat was yellow in the 4th. I've been at M&T during blow outs and its packed. Even PS games are packed into the 4th.

Personally, I think that the Steelers secondary as a unit is overrated, much like Baltimore's entire defense.

It seems like this has been off year for Polamalu. Maybe he hasn't fully recovered from his injury yet.

He was lights out in the first three games. It's something else; just don't know what. Can't overlook losing our starting DE's either.

Too lazy to find the link, but apparently Adam Schefter is reporting that the Steelers will cut Jeff Reed tomorrow and hold a try out for kickers.

Finally.

But this begs the question, could it be Stover? DON-DON-DON!

Is he available? If he is then there is no one better as an option. However, we DID find Reed out of now where. He was the first kicker to conquer Heinz Field.

I have always disliked Jeff Reed (except when he missed 2 FG's against us). I remember him having offseason trouble and on-field tackling issues.

Ahem!

Ahem. We won that game. ^_^

I don't care if our kicker can tackle. Most can't, although our punter will take your head off. Kickers don't go through tackling drills to my knowledge and for the most part I think they're only supposed to slow the runner down and get in his way. Two other Steelers had an opportunity to make the tackle after his whiff and failed. It's no secret that our special teams sucked last year.

Stover is my first and only choice if they indeed do cut Reed. He has kicked at Heinz Field many times and would be much more familiar with kicking there then some rookie unknown free agent without a proven track record. He did a great job last year in Indy when they brought him in when Vinatieri got hurt and I think if he is brought in here could do no worse then what that drunk slob Reed is doing now. Go get Stover Steelers and do it tomorrow dont wait around!!!

I still don't like the guy. I don't know, are you trying to defend him? Because I don't see what there is to defend. Your team is better without him.

Also, isn't Cincy looking for a kicker since Nugent was injured?

I don't think he's hurt. He DID mention that Timmons has taken the role he had as roaming menace, but if that's the case, they need to change it back.

Simply, our problem is missing our starting DE's. We're not getting pressure anymore. That, and Gay couldn't cover an old man in a wheel chair going uphill in the snow.

Not really defending him. I think it's time to make the move. I always liked him, but he's not getting it done and he seems to have become complacent.

I hear that they are. I'm sure Reed will go there if we cut him.

There is also the possibility that they hold try outs before making any moves. They may look to scare him.

The Steelers have a ton of key injuries right now and sooner or later it was bound to catch up with them. Starks,Kemoeatu,Aaron Smith,Keisel,Ward being knocked out last night and Timmons as well going out last night are key key players on this team that when youre playing a team like the Patriots can really begin to show and it did last night.

As I said, it happens in every stadium in the league.

I'm all for supporting the team, but it's the fans only recourse for showing their disappointment when the team is stinking up the place. If you think it goes unnoticed by the team, think again.

Ward, Keisel and Smith seem to hurt more than the o-line. If Ward's in and Jeff Reed remembers how to kick 26 yarder, we are in it in the end.

Add Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel and I'd imagine Brady's uniform isn't as pristine either.

It all comes down to the D-Line in this defense. Do you think we could trade William Gay to the Lions for Suh? hahaha

He's not on any of the Colts rosters.

Hmm.. I hear his kick offs are lacking, but Danny Sepulveda can take those over. Plus, Danny was a linebacker and can still tackle like one.

It'll be interesting to see what happens.

How would you guys like to have your very own William Gay? He's a great blitzer! You can have him for a 2020 7th rounder.
