Cam Cameron Complaint Thread

Here's the thing, fellas (and defending Cam leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, believe me)...When you have a guy like Flacco at QB, you want to build your offense around him, and make him the focal point of your offensive gameplans, especially at critical points of a game.As good as Rice is, his presence should serve the purpose of relieving the pressure off the pass attack more than anything else (as well as be a part of the pass offense, of course). With a guy like Flacco at QB, and guys like Boldin, Mason, Heap and Rice at his disposal, we need to emphasise our pass game as often as possible.Run-run-run was appropriate in the past, when our QBs couldn't hit the broad side of Rex Ryan, but times have changed.
Yikes! I am surpised you said that, but you are correct. The Ravens are built to be Flaccos team. Rice is most effective when Flacco is playing well and vice versa. The Ravens are a skilled and finese running team. Not a smashmouth group of bullies. Flacco is steadily improving. Still a little inconsistent with his timing and decision-making, but I do see improvement from game to game.

I am predicting that this is a problem that is going to solve itself. As Flacco begins to dominate in the passing game, the running game will be the first beneficiary.

Everytime Cam messes up, our team loses. This was also made evident in the Patriots game. flacco should definitely be able to add his input during games.

I agree and disagree.

You are right about building the offense around Flacco, but, that is no excuse for not giving Rice the ball WHEN HE IS HOT. If something is working, stick to it. By what you are saying, you are giving me the idea that Cam is only coaching to turn Flacco into a legend. You play to win. It's simple. If Flacco was struggling and Rice is moving the chains, you have to stick to the run game.
No, not saying that Cam is only coaching to glorify Flacco. But what I am saying is that Cam has the right idea, which is FINALLY showing faith in Flacco to the point where he puts the game on Joe's shoulders and says "Go win this for us".

Let me play devils advocate here. Let's say that Cam continued running the ball constantly as many wanted him to, and Rice started getting stuffed (which is a possibility when you get into that mindset). I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people would have then complained that Cameron became too conservative and too predictable.
I DO think this; in the first half, when they were destroying our offensive line play after play, we needed to either run a couple draws, or run a couple swing passes over to Rice. Not often; just a couple times to force them to back off. Other than that, Cam did okay I think.
He's stepped up. Admit it.
Indeed he has. A complete 180 since the storm that hit after NE.

i wasnt on the whole fire cam thing. but im starting to lean that way. which is a shame. i feel hes a good OC. maybe this isnt the team for him.

but for everyone who wants to fire him. who would u want to take his place? no one has put a name out there as to who might be a better fit.

I was, and still am, in support of replacing Cam. Maybe that will change after the season plays itself out, because the last few weeks he has finally corrected many of his mistakes.

No one has suggested a replacement yet, because we will not know who is available for certain until after the season.

How about Zorn? As a former QB, I could see him giving Joe more responsibility.

Exactly. Outside of Jim Zorn, who isn't exactly an exciting option, there isn't anyone. People forget the days of Cavanaugh, Fassel, and Neuheisel when we didn't even have an offense to be upset about.

Fact is, Cam Cameron is one of the better offensive coordinators in the NFL. By no means is he perfect, but he's pretty damn good. For offensive struggles, look to our OL. It all starts there, Cameron can only mask it so much.

Not a Zorn fan; at least not in the OC capacity.
But if Cam continues down the road he has gone the last few weeks, I'd be okay with retaining him. Given his history here, I'm skeptical of that though

Since the Patriots game I think Cam has been outstanding, how can Cam expect his Oline to get tore up by 4 rushers, even on some delay protections with HBs the line was still getting ripped. He made halftime adjustments, and our offense exploded.

cam is a good coordinator but he does need to run when we can run and not try to pass it when we just got 2 straight plays of 15+ yards from Rice.

I was just throwing his name out there.

Cam frustrates me but I don't really want him replaced. Continuity is very important when talking about a coaching staff and maybe next year or maybe even this year, Cam will give Joe more rope.

See, when Rice gets two straight 15+ yard runs, that is all the more reason to throw the ball. You run to set up the pass, remember? A play action would have been the perfect call in that situation.

<_< Cam - Why is it that everytime Ray Rice gets hot you always go back to throwing with Flacco? First half the OLine did not protect and Flacco could not move the chains. Ray Rice was getting first downs and positive yards that eventually led to our first TD drive. Then... next drive.... you WENT BACK TO THE PASSING GAME. Drove me NUTS!

I agree with everything you are aying bruh that is true. I also think that cam cameron needs to let joe flacco audibl when he see blitzes let him set the offensive line up for the blitz cam cameron think joe flacco is a doll if i call this play you are going to run this play

Id agree with this too, unless the defense can stop your gains to 3ish yards, or drops a safety in the box, you dont stop running the ball.
