I've been impressed with how Suggs has turned it up the passed couple weeks two sacks and constintly pressuring Ryan, hopefully Suggs is getting some sizzle back

Suggs definitely made some plays tonight. Constant pressure. I tip my hat off to him as I have been down on him a bit.

He's overpaid, overrated, and I don't like his face..Wait what?

Terrell Suggs has been doing this all year. We finally got to see what happens when the Ravens turn him into a pure pass-rusher, he is dominant. With ANY help from our other players, Ryan would have been on his back the entire fourth quarter.

We need to turn him into a pure pass rusher because we have no other option. Its either him or nobody.

I actually agree to a point. We can't bank on teams running only ~20 times a game, as they have the past few weeks, though. Suggs is also one of our best run defenders. That makes it tough. But, heck yes, Terrell is a difference-maker when chasing the QB.

Has that cloning thing worked yet?

Suggs played great for you guys last night.

He was the only guy getting sacks and ultimately putting the best pressure on Matt Ryan.

Props to Suggs.

Hopefully we get Kindle back next year and he can make an impact.

I can't wait to see what he does

Suggs has been great all year. Just the stats didn't show it.

He was one of the few people on defense who was playing with heart yesterday.

Without Suggs and Ngata the Ravens would have 0 pass rush.
[/quote]

I love Ngata but I only remember him getting pressure up the middle once last night. I lost track of the times where Suggs beat the tackle around the edge only for Ryan just stepped up to avoid him, like we've seen QBs do for like 5 seasons now.

Suggs dominated both sides of Atlanta's Oline, that was one of the best single handed pass rushing games Ive seen in awhile, where one guy without any help from any other pass dominated.

Agreed. His bull rush was just filthy last night and there were a number of times where he was covering ground like Ray in his prime.

Haha, yea someone mentioned that after Suggs got BSd around by that facemask call he was pretty pissed. Glad to see he used his rage for the good of the team, and not to its detriment by having malice in his heart. But seriously, the guy played his butt off last night.

Suggs was the only one pressuring Ryan..wished we had another Suggs on the other side or something..

Exactly. That is why the Steelers have a far better defense.

They have an average secondary, but they have 2 monster OLB's. If only Kindle hadn't injured himself.....

We are 1 great OLB away from having an elite defense. But that OLB will be hard to find.

The Steelers have Ike Taylor though, as average as he is with his coverage he can actually press at the line when needed.

I wouldn't say hes any better than Foxworth. When Foxworth became comfortable with the D, he was very solid.

Webb and Wilson are still young, and they were simply outmatched against one of the best WR's in the NFL.

Foxworth was better in coverage that Taylor was at the end of last year, but Foxworth cant press like Taylor can.

The both have their strengths and weaknesses. Overall I'd say the are about equal.

But as of right now, I agree with you. We don't have a CB nearly the caliber of Taylor.

Correction. The Steelers have a plethora of elite linebackers. Timmons, Harrison, Farrior, and Woodley are all crazy good. Can't wait to see the Ravens get more talent at the LB core. We will be so much better.

I would say Harrison and Woodley are elite. Timmons is getting there, and Farrior is solid, but I wouldn't call him elite.

Timmons is playing at an All-Pro level and is playing better than any linebacker on the team. IMO Timmons is already there.

I agree with you. Timmons will be an all-pro this year. And he will be a name that will be driving us crazy for many years. Another LB in the long list they have.

Wish we could get some home grown LB cooking going on. The pot has been cool for a while.

I love it.

When Suggs is only sent in to rush 10-15 times a game because he is too good at other things to limit him as just a pass rusher, he is overrated and cant rush the QB.

When we use Suggs as a heat seeking missile and just let him go after the QB all game, he puts up one of the best pass rushing performances we have seen all year by anyone, and now we are ready to hold a parade. LOL

I know it won't happen, but I hope that last night will stop all the hating on Suggs' pass rushing skills. He is a beast, he is the most complete LB in the game, and there is NO ONE I would rather have. Not Ware. Not Harrison. No one.

Very cool. I firmly believe Kindle will return and pan out a a player but the FO needs to and I'm confident they will seriously evaluate the ILB position in the off-season. The current three-man rotation is too streaky and I have no confidence two of them can step up and occupy the ILB spots should Ray hang it up this year or in 2011.
