If all you wanted was an "emergency" third stringer...just pull up cullen finnerty. We did last season, no biggie. If we have a catastrauphic injury issue at qb next year then we should burn M&T and rebuild it ha jk. Yea but seriously drafting a qb will do nothing but eat money. If your not gonna pull cullen up for "emergencies" then get a vet who just wants a job opportunity. Pay them to sit on the bench and mentor do not pay them like a starter. I'm sick of hearing about the "qb draft class" this draft class is a J-O-K-E. Not a single one of them are even close to being worthy of a #8 pick. They want too much money and they'll all be useless for years to come and maybe just maybe one of them will have a legit career. How often is a top rated qb picked and stuck with? And see success? They get picked-they get overpaid-they get traded-maybe they get traded again-then BOOM 5 or 6 years later somtimes?! Umm Favre? Originally a Falcon? Oh yea he sucks get rid of him...riiiiiight...If we had cap room galore and a franchise to SH-- on then sure blow some money and several years on a joke draft prospect. Otherwise forget it. Troy will prevail.

That's true, but Troy is too young to give him a label as a warrior. Only a rookie in the NFL, only time will tell whether he is really that type of player.

Just a thought.....the ONLY way we can have a shot at Tebow is if we finish last in the NFL the year prior to his entering the draft and/or every team that finishes worse than we do has a pro-bowl/MVP franchise QB (Colts, Pats, Bengals, Seahawks, Steelers, etc). Even if this opportunity presents itself, to trade up to get him will cost any team attempting to do so dearly (quite possibly two 1st round draft picks and a later round pick or two). IF Tebow stays healthy, he will go top 3 in the draft. Only teams with absolutely entrenched franchise QB's will pass him up.
AND...I am making the call right now: Tim Tebow will not come out early. Ergo, Tim Tebow will not be in the NFL draft until 2010. Tim and his parents have worked too hard to cultivate his image to do anything other than graduate. He might even stay for a fifth year of eligibility if the right circumstanes present themselves. He and his family have money so the financial boost of becoming an NFL QB are not as alluring as one might think. Add to that the fact that with every NCAA snap Tebow takes, his legend grows. This leads me to think that he is more concerned with the long term growth of his career than immediate gratification gained by coming out early. And, oh, he will also gradute with honors.
The only way I can see Tebow coming out early is if Florida completely unravels, maybe a huge recruiting scandal or something of that nature. Even then, his image grows if stays on to graduate and "plays through adversity."

Amen. Flacco reminds me alot of Jeff George without the attitude. I watched him play in a few college games and saw him compete in the QB Skillz Challenge. He has a HUGE arm but his accuracy leaves alot to be desired. He finished last in the accuracy portion (behind Ryan, Henne, Brohm, and Brenner). Even though he won the distance throw portion of the contest by a huge margin (72 yard throw vs. 59 yards by Ryan) he missed a twenty yard wide landing area in two of three attempts and that was with ideal throwing conditions i.e., no pass rush.
