Well, I recently had my car retitled into my name (it was under my father's.) Then my grandparents visited me this past weekend. I got a call from my dad a couple days later and the following conversation took place:

"You grandparents say that your car's a mess."

"Well, it's my car now."

"Ah, I knew you'd say that!"

Then we both laughed and laughed.

It's a 2000 Celica GT-S. With a 6 speed. I've had it, but my dad bought it for me and it was in his name for a while.

well after learning today that one of my Uncle's died, I unfortunately had to witness a car crash right in front me (as I was walking to class) head on into a street light as it snapped and fell on a fence. Luckily nobody was hurt, driver understandably shaken up :( I know this is cliche, but it really put life in perspective for me.

Marine biology and zoology always fascinated me, but I am also into money so I chose nursing, planning to go back to school but never really did--I was too busy having fun  I also though about a Naval career, too. Coast guard looks like fun too, my son is considering that but because he is asthmatic he may not clear medical. I worked as a SCUBA instructor and salvage diver for a while had a blast but made no real money. Right now I do a lot of work with the Sea Scouts because of my son, he hope to keeps his asthma under control so he can be certified to dive.

Thats awesome. Scuba diving & archeology may be the two best non-professional athlete/ singer/ actor jobs there are.

Depends what you're into. The biology of it all, the history of seafaring, naval history, climates, etc.

I used to want to be a Marine Biologist back when I was 8 or 9 and obsessed with ocean animals.

Still fascinates me.

Sorry to hear your son has asthma. I have asthma myself for 25 years now. As a parent it has to be scary to have a child with asthma, I can only imagine right now. My only wish right now is that my kids don't come up with it.

The only thing I can say is I try to fight my asthma instead of taking a inhaler to help it. I really think it helps alot. I haven't taking a shot of the inhaler or nebulizer machine in almost 2months. I don't know how old your son is that has asthma? If he is old enough that he can control his own asthma, I suggest try to sit down and relax then to take a breathing treatment. Of course if he's wheezing real bad, take the inhaler. :) Its a very bad season now too...Spring always seems to be my worst season. Plus I'm allergic to everything you can think of...

Anyways I'm sure you know what your doing, since your a nurse. Just asthma is not a funny disease to have. Another thing is having a nebulizer machine on hand can be a very useful tool too. It can save a trip to the ER. I know it has saved me a few times, when my inhaler doesn't work effective.

Good Luck!

Actually until today my son has not touched albuterol in 9 months! Drat this pollen, he came in from cutting the grass and was a bit tight. With me being a nurse and hubby a PA and Respiratory Therapist we have not had one hospitalization or oral steroids--its been close :o Singulair has been a savior to him. My son is now almost 16 and 6'1 so I don't think it stunted his growth. His major trigger is cool moist air and with SCUBA I think it may be a huge problem unless he is diving in warm weather.

Last night I went to Gigantour, which is a big metal tour. It was in Baltimore (Columbia) at the Merriweather Post Pavillion. Best concert of my life.

During Megadeth's set, Dave Mustaine (singer/guitarist) was asking random people in the crowd where they were from. One person answered Pittsburgh and everyone in the building, probably 10,000 people, booed loudly. It was awesome.

I just came back after spending a weekend in Vegas, last year I said I wanted to live here one day because it suits all my wants and needs. This weekend just confirmed that, I had a great time gambling, drinking, clubbing and I think this is the most girls i've hit on in one weekend!
