Billick should get one of those gigs selling products on the Home Shopping Network or something! You know how you buy those products on t.v and they end up short of your expectations? I think he's been pulling that act on our front office when it came to QB's :D

Yeah but I think he should run for president. He avoided that question about which Qb he like best like a pro. He's had plenty of practice at with the media.

I think, after watching this thing again, the funniest thing about having him rate QBs on NFL.com is how widely known the Ravens struggles at developing a franchise QB have been, it seems in every draft day talk about the Ravens they bring up our "need" at QB (whether the solution is through the draft or already on the roster). Then they turn around and ask Billick to give what he thinks are the best QBs in the draft class this year, it sorta loses all credibility when you take his history with drafting QBs in more ways than one.

I especially thought it was funny how Mike took a sideways stab at Billick over the Kyle Boller drafting as he was asking about what you need to see to want to move up and get a guy after you've picked in the 1st already.

Couple points I wanted to add, just food for thought. Some facts, some subjective.

- Billick did not draft any of our QB's.

- His two favorite words are "quantify" and "huge".

- He's very articulate and has a great understanding of football.

- He's very well respected by the league.

- He's going to make a great commentator, and I hope to see him doing games at some point in the future.

If he eventually doesn't get another shot (as a HC or coordinator), I'd love to see him become a commentator.

i just watched him, and i dont think any of part of him not drafting quarterbacks, besides Boller in 2003, played into affect with what he was saying...seeing how he's no longer a part of the Ravens and what they do, he was merely speaking on behalf of being a True Commentator and i think that showed.

Thats very true but he pushed really hard to get Boller here.

You can't blame us for drafting Boller. He looked so amazing at the time! (I know you're not saying that Neeps but its worth mentioning)

Edit: I wish there was a way we could keep Billick around just to be the voice of the Ravens during Press Conferences. He is such a damn good speaker.

LOL. I actually mentioned something like that in another thread. I think he will be back in the Ravens organization one day. He's not a bad guy, his time just ran out as a head coach. Maybe we can make him our official "blow off the press" speaker. He's so good at answering questions without answering the question.

Mayock: "The question i get asked all the time is about the QB position..."

Billick: "Me too!"

Yeah that was hilarious.
