Rex Ryan...jets...blah Blah Blah

Alright so I used to be a huge Rex fan until all he got all cocky and dissed the one and only Ray Lewis. So do you guys think they're as good as they say they are?

Personally I vote no, because Mark Sanchez ISN'T that good.

Personally I hope the Patriots win the AFC East and the Jets are left fighting for the Wild Card spot and Pittsburgh gets in over them! Yes, I'm so sick of the Jets that I'd much rather see the Steelers in as a Wild Card over them. Once again how does Eric Mangini go 9-7 and is looked at as failure yet Rex goes 9-7 and everybody thinks he is a Genius!

Now can we talk about the Ravens/Falcons game please?

I don't know if people think Rex is a genius but his 9-7 team was better than Mangini's. The Jets were 8-3 and looked on their way to a first round bye with Mangini at the helm before they dropped 4 of their last 5 games. Under Rex, the Jets got lucky and then proved then made the AFCN which really got the hype machine rolling.

That's what Im saying, further adding to the craziness that is the Rex Ryan love fest. Mangini was a healthy QB away from success (to what level is an unknown, but certainly more than a 9-7 record and no playoff berth).

The Jets are totally overrated. They got shut down completely by the packers and had to go to OT to beat the lions. If Hanson doesn't get hurt they likely lose. The Jets should be wary of Cleveland with the way they are playing lately.

I find it funny that you all beat the Jets yet still want to keep bringing them up on a weekly basis. Bash them all you want but they're 6-2 and while they run their mouths they win. Good teams find ways to win.

Personally I want nothing more than Braylon Edwards to drop a TD pass this week; he is the only one I'm sick of. He has one good year (which he also neglects to tell you he led the league in "dropped passes" that year as well..) and thinks he's Jesus on the football field. I want Cleveland to win every week but I REALLY want them to win this week and put him in his place.

Who cares if they bash you on their boards or in the media? All teams and fans do it so this isn't like it's only Ravens fans.. I just find it a bit humorous that people on here continually bring them up and rip on them when you guys DID beat them. It's typically the losing teams that bring up those types of things.

Exactly. The Jets were 8-3 under Mangini and were on their way to a first round bye BEFORE Favre got hurt. I say if Favre don't get hurt, they might go 12-4 or 13-3. That's why in the Congrats Browns thread I had that lengthy paragraph on Mangini being a VERY Under rated Head Coach. Look at the Jets team he put together, it wasn't Rex who drafted Revis, Mangold, and Ferguson. It was MANGINI! Whenever the Jets do win the Super Bowl, Rex better send out a Thank You Card to Mangini for putting together a solid team before he got there.
