Nfc Games

This is a little off-topic and random but I just wanted to express my excitement for our opening game against the NFC South. I think the non-divisional play is nice because it allows us to get interested in the NFC. I follow football but to be honest I am not that vested in the NFC. But it's exciting each year to get interested in a division and them to be interested in you. I've definitely seen it this week with Falcons fans coming over to this board and some of us venturing over there. There's a mututal respect that sometimes you don't find with divisional opponents because of general animosity. Part of it is that it's not just how you play against one team, but the entire division that has an affect on your team. I know I was rooting for the Saints hardcore against the Steelers last week and I definitely was imrpessed by their defense that I've never really been able to appreciate before.

I wish the schedule allowed for more NFC play each year, but it seems any scheduling changes that would occur would probably have us playing more AFC teams, or some AFC teams twice.

Mods are so quick to merge threads that have little to do with eachother, but a thread with NFC in the title is allowed in "RAVENS TALK."

It's a discussion of the Ravens' upcoming games against their NFC opponents

Troy Smith should have always played from the beginning. He's the best QB in the NFL and the Jets players all think he is great too.

I remember a topic I created was merged into a completely unrelated thread.

That's because you failed to mention Troy Smith in it. That's the penalty you suffer!

Since this thread appears to have deteriorated into gibberish, it's now in "Off-Topic".
Deteriorated? Because it started out "This is a little off-topic and random, but..."

I agree: all the teams in the NFC (and AFC) South are pretty good, except for our next opponent, the Panthers.
