Josh Wilson Has Class

was just searching around on youtube instead of studying, and found this video of Santana Moss trying to start a fight with wilson. What I really like is the fact that Wilson put the team above his own personal interests, and didn't retaliate, and the Redskins got penalized. This year im finding all our players have much cooler heads, and we don't give up "stupid" penalties, most of our penalties come from crowd noise, and the occasional lapse in concentration which is still shooting us in the foot sometimes, but atleast we're using a pistol this year and not a shotgun like last year.

ON A SIDE NOTE, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GOD/ANY OTHER DEITIES INVOLVED IN THE LACK OF PASS INTERFERENCE PENALTIES AGAINST THE RAVENS I'VE HAD TO WITNESS THIS YEAR!

Wilson could have said something to draw that penalty out of Moss, either way... very smart player.

I think if that punch had connected, he would have been flagged. Wilson should have been a better target for Moss' lousy aim

I think "restraint" is a better word but overall, Wilson is a good football player and I'm glad he's a Raven. I hope he's here for many years.

I'm glad he is getting the chance to prove his worth as a starter. I don't think he'll give Fabe another chance to take that spot back. I will say this, I think Fabian will make a much better nickel and dime back than Frank Walker did!

I watched the game and Wilson didn't do anything to provoke Moss.

You remember the details from a game in 2008? I'm impressed. I sort of remember watching that, but I have no idea the circumstance. The you tube poster said Moss was help multiple times which triggered the outlash.

I remember this incident but nothing really beyond that. Wilson might have held him previously but it was a punk move by Moss.

not every topic has to be important, this is a forum where you talk about anything Ravens related. Its nice to acknowledge players that are good guys and have class.

Its not only about wilson though, it was also a general observation of our team's class and discipline as a whole, I only highlighted josh wilson because 90% of players put in the situation he was in (in the video) would have retaliated, so its nice to see that the ravens have worked on their discipline with players from last year, and also brought in classy guys like wilson, Boldin, Stallworth etc.

Im glad you interpreted this incident differently than the guy who posted the video since they named it "Santana Moss punks Wilson". I hope he starts tonight, I do not want Fabian on Roddy White.

well it wasn't much of a "punking" in the first place, it was just a selfish play by moss, and throughout his career he's pulled stunts like this on more than one occasion.

Just trying to make sure people cut down on "garbage threads". If you wanted the topic about Ravens players with class, call it that. That's a fine thread. There are far too many useless and repetitive threads clogging up the boards because of lazy or stupid posters. Hence threads like "Flacco sucks" have to be merged 20 times after a loss.

I do think the lack of penalties is an under-appreciated change this year.
