Offensive Line?

Maybe its me but I'm not sure whats going on with our pass protection, 5 sacks. I think Flacco should get more credit for still throwing two 2 TDs and 266 yards.

What's going on? I don't know if you've noticed, but our bookend Jared Gaither hasn't suited up for a game yet this year. And he is out for the season. We had to take our prototypical run blocking RG and slide him over to RT.

All in all, its pretty admirable the work Yanda has accomplished. Oher is still learning and he's finding out that life is tough on that left side in the NFL. He seemed to be better playing the run tackle on the right.

But in a nutshell. Lack due to injury is whats going on.

Yes....just you. As Pu has already pointed out, we've known the O line has been a problem since day one. That happens when your RT gets sick....wait, hurt.....wait, want a big contract. Oh hell, I don't know!

I undersand Oher still making mistakes but the Gaurds seem to be letting the tackles come through easily to Flacco, but I do have to credit Yanda though also stepping up

Obviously they didn't play their greatest game in pass protection yesterday, but they did keep Flacco upright enough in spite of that to complete 20 of 27 throws and put up a 129 passer rating. In case you orgot, we held the Steelers vaunted pass rush to ZERO sacks a month ago with the same guys. So yeah, they had some lapses yesterday, but they have been doing a great job for the most part this season. In fact King at SI put Yanda on his mid-season All-Pro team which says a lot about a guy who isn't even supposed to be playing outside if things went as planned this year for the o-line.

Getting sacked on a three man rush...how embarrassing is that?
Yea that was pretty bad. Wish we could have that set of downs back.

I'll give em that, Flacco wouldn't have one of the best TD to INT ratios in the past few weeks if he didn't have a decent line

That was a beauty sack by Harrison, that's a big area where those small guys thrive getting low and turning that edge.

THEY STINK <BOB RYAN VOICE>
AKA: They shtink!

But really, yes, 3 man rush by the Dolphins was getting to Flacco pretty easily. I don't understand how 5 men can't guard 3 people. I have respect for Cameron Wake and all but really?

i think that our o line has done a pretty good job so far this season considering the problems we have with injuries or players moving over to positions they don´t actually play.

but i would love to have a healthey gaither back in there and yanda as a punisher at RG. that´s what he does best.
