C Todd McClure is playing well too, probably better than the guards. These guys are going to come out hot and scrape, hustle and play dirty in the middle.

Yep. McClure actually left the game with a knee injury but returned. I wonder if that'll affect him going against Haloti.

How did the run D suck this time? Yeah, they had some early success on their TD
drive, but after that they basically got nothing. Cody was active for the game
and was in there on run downs. McKInney, Divens and one other D-lineman was
inactive for this game. Kruger was on the field.
If you mean until we get the talent, it's there; if you mean until they get
trained up that's different. I think it's stupid to think that we can keep every
team under a 100 yds rushing for a game if they have capable running backs.

I'm not going to say the run D has been impressive, but I'm pretty sure this is the wrong time to bring it up.

What? Why?

I wouldn't say they sucked but I wouldn't say they were good either. The Dolphins just gave up on the Run. Ronnie Brown was averaging 6.5 YPC on the ground against us yesterday. But when they fell behind they decided to rely on the dink pass.

Because we played well on D this week. I would've brought it up after we played the Browns, Patriots, or even Bills maybe.

The defense had a great game against the Bills on the ground, they just got torched through the air consistently. Jackson had like 22 carries for 70 yards, while Brown yesterday was putting up almost 7 yards a carry.

I'd like to see one of the big boys to fill in for Redding, he does not do well in the 3-4.

I thought Redding has done well in the 3-4 except in this lone game.

There were a few games already this year where McKinney took a decent amount of his playing time when they were lining up in the 3-4 and he played well.

Boohoo. They scored 10 points!

Shouldn't you be a Vikings fan? :P

I'm not gonna complain with that. But in the most constructive way possible I'd have to say that we could have honestly shut them out if we were tighter against the run in the 1st half. No way Ronnie Brown should be running on us. And against better rushing teams, like this Thursday, we will absolutely have to tighten up early to make the opponent one-dimensional
