Re-Sign Chris Carr?

33 posts in this topic

Carr has certainly stepped up and shown he's a real good DB with starting capability at CB.

If I'm not mistaken his contract will be up as we only signed him up for a 2 year contract. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

He typically makes clean smart plays and sticks with his guy. Add to the fact that he's a players assoc. representative I think he's a great rep for being a Raven.

Let's hear your thoughts.

I'd love to see Carr be re-signed. He's developed into a solid nickel, plays special teams and gives you depth returning kicks an punts.

Plus, he comes off as a good locker guy.

Agreed re-sign him. After re-watching all the games that I record I havent seen him picked on consistently yet, I also dont recall if Ive seen a DB make the kind of progression later in his career like Ive seen with Carr its impressive. However the mark of a good player is consistency, so keep it up Carr.

thanks mod for the fix. I just looked at the title and was like, "Yeah should've put a dash in there" lol!

He's shown to be a solid player and a solid nickel when we get Foxworth back.

Ive been a huge critic of Chris Carr but I do think he has gradually improved since mid last season and should be resigned.

We need to draft a shutdown corner!!! No corners picked in this years draft.

Yes. I had him and Wilson re-signed in my mock off-season, and had us let go of Washington.

And I wont be chaining that after todays game.

Agreed. I like Fabe, but Carr and Wilson strike me as better more consistent CBs, and I'd much rather we re-signed those two.

Last year I couldnt stand the guy.But he has come a long way, he's definitely an assett to our team. Bring him back.

I've been saying it for weeks, Carr plays some tight coverage. Yes, he let up a catch or two and he had one where the receiver dropped it (luckily), but he's always there and can make a play on the ball. Harbaugh said he was the most underrated guy on the defense.

Hes a great guy to have around for depth. If a CB or 2 goes down, he can be solid starter for a couple weeks.

We were all calling for his head at that time, he really looked bad in his first 10-12 games as a Raven. He did really pick up his play though at the end of the year and kept it through the playoffs.

It's no secret how I feel about Chris Carr.

But honestly, he has stepped up his game big time and I am seeing him in a new light. I wouldn't have a problem with him being our nickel back for years to come.

Fabian on the other hand....not so much.

He played horrible for most of last season but this year has been a big part of the improved pass defense. He has taken JJ spot as the most underrated player on the team.

I remember everyone wanted to get rid of this guy last year but look now. Carr quietly has become a rock solid corner on this team. I think he should be resigned. The man stepped up when we needed him too.

He's sharing that title with Yanda. He was on King's All-Pro team in SI. Add in also that JJ just isn't playing good this year.

"amazing" might be overstating things a bit. He is doing great. Which means a zillion times better than early on last season.

He is a keeper I say.
