The Josh Wilson Thread

I've always been a fan of Josh Wilson even when he was in Seattle.

I think as time evolved, he has evolved in this defense.

Plus let's give some props to Carr man! He's been solid!

I think he should get more time but we should rotate cbs. Keeps them fresher and also makes it so injuries effect us less. Carr has been playing well all season as well tho and Webb came up huge for our first pick.

Wilson is fast, good at sticking to his man, turns his head to locate the ball and tackles well. I think he deserves to be the starter.

Physical just like he's was billed coming here. I like him and Webb because they are our most physical cornerbacks. Fabes just looks dead out there.

Wilson has shown he's got the "Built for Baltimore" ability.

Fabes needs some time to recollect himself and learn to play a little smarter.

Yea in a game where most the guys are possession WRs, Wilson would make the most sense. If Fabes can back up to his normal speed, he will still be very useful against the stretch the field guys.

Fabian is better as a nickel DB, as he was in '08, but he has been atrocious recently. Carr and Wilson should start, Webb cycling in VERY regularly.

One might argue that Carr is more physical than one or both of them.

Carr? I don't think so. I saw Webb and Wilson put in some strong form tackles today; not that he had a bad game but I didn't see Carr flash much physicality.

I agree, when I see Carr get physical at the line, it doesn't end up well, because the guy he's guarding usually catches the ball.

I think so... Wilson certainly is a great Corner and could really help our corner woes. I mean I would feel comfortable with our secondary if Wilson and Webb were our starters for the Atlanta game.

Dont get ahead of yourselves guys, would not mind seeing him start but hes still gotta prove himself.

We play Atlanta next and none of our corners are quite up to par with the likes of Roddy White but Marshall who is also awesome didnt destroy us so we'll see how that pans out.

We aren't talking about calling him an elite corner, we are talking about him starting instead of Washington. He has proven this 2 weeks in a row.

And Marshall didn't destroy us? He had 5 catches for 30 yards, that's called being shut down.

Miamis first drive looked like the Ravens team that fell apart against the Bills the rest of the game looking like the team that smacked Tom Brady around for 3qtrs in the NE game.

I believe he was noting that description as an understatement, and I agree. Marshall was a total nonfactor in this game.

I wouldnt say shut down either though because he was open a few times where he was missed or bad throw.
He was shut down. Those passes to him weren't completions because of pressure on Henne and good coverage.

I said when he was open, it obviously had to have been pressure and not coverage if he was open.

Seeing as how Fabian Washington vowed to bounce back this week and he was benched again after 1 quarter, Wilson will be starting against the Falcons.

That was a very weak attempt of a bounce back game. Fabe is quickly losing all of the faith that the coaches had in him.

Webb and Wilson could be a great duo for years to come.
It's nice to have youth back there. Things can only improve back there. And with those two guys we are changing our focus of being more physical in the secondary.

If hes playing like this in his contract year, imagine how he'll play once he gets a contract.
