Ray giving his opinion on P. Manning(#8) in NFL greatest 100 football players of all time.

Ray Lewis is hanging up in my game room with Peyton so I appreciate the greatest LB of all time praising my teams QB.

Well deserved by Peyton Manning. I hate when the Ravens have to play him! We have such a hard time with him, but then again, who doesn't?

i geuss it makes sense considering the rivalry the 2 guys have had, but i was really suprised, considering the chemsity the 2 had, they didn't ask Marvin Harrison to present Manning.

good video though

I don't know if Marvin Harrison is a great speaker. In that area, you can't get much better than Ray Lewis.

Really? After the whole "dual wielding handguns and shooting people in broad daylight" thing?

Marvin Harrison didn't kill anyone. He looks like Carlton and the Carlton I know wouldn't do anything like that.

Anywho, Marvin's impeccable record shines through a rough situation. That's not the reason.

Why have Marvin speak for Peyton? You got Peyton a guy that has become a genius at the QB position and is the commander in chief of the offense. Then you have Ray who has pretty much done the same thing Peyton has done, just on the other side of the ball. It was great to have Ray speak on Peytons behalf, better choice IMO than Marvin Harrison.

Just also glad they got it right with Johnny U and where he stands. Yeah Peyton is a great QB, hall of fame hands down, first ballot as well. But we all know Johnny U in his era and I firmly believe in this era of the NFL would still have been the QB that he was. Peyton on the other hand or Brady for that fact of the matter would have never lasted in the NFL back in those days. Now to flip the script and say Ray was to have played back then where it was basically anything goes, just imagine what he would of done to people with out the rules and regulations he has had during his career, playing back in those days.

Jonny U is why we have some of the rules today to protect the QB. Many times JU was knocked out of games because of unecessary hits like in Super Bowl 3 and 5 when Jonny Unitas never finished the games.
Each era is graded by their era when they played.

They need someone relatively affluent, yes. Miller may be a nut but he's charismatic.. to some..

I mean, I didn't enjoy Hines Ward speak about Ed Reed

Yea, I agree, wish someone other than Ward spoke about Ed Reed, but I liked having Ray present Manning. I love Ray's simultaneous hatred and respect for Peyton's game. It would've been unsettling if Ray's hatred or respect outweighed either. We may respect Manning, but when we see him in the play-offs, he becomes the enemy. Love that.

Not sure of what the forum's policy is regarding this, but I recently wrote up a blog post that commemorated all the Ravens' players (including Ozzie!) in the Top 100 (with videos). I'd love to share that with other Ravens' fans, but I don't want to step over forum policy. Can I share a link?

May be due to a post count quota needing to be reached (if the mods added that feature like they talked about doing).

It just goes to show what a class guy Ray Lewis is, to praise Manning, even though he has never beaten him. Ray is the kind of guy that will knock the snot out of someone, help him up, and tell him that he loves them. Sometimes, we lose sight of the sport in the game.

Eh, tricky. As long as it's not inappropriate, you can put it in your profile (in your "about me" or "website" sections). Not signature, though, it's technically spam. Sorry, but if it's not sponsored/endorsed by the Ravens, we can't allow any outside links in sigs. Hope this helps.

Too bad the Ravens didn't draft Payton Manning in 1998. How many championships would we have had if that was the case? Can you believe Ryan Leaf was drafted before Manning?

Dennis Miller is pretty good, and he knows a whole lot about football. Miller just has one of those minds that doesn't forget a thing.
