Any team can win a Super Bowl in 5 years. 5 years from now, the Patriots could be picking #1 overall. We have Ozzie who is good at drafting, so that helps.

With our current roster, I don't see why not.

I had HIGH hopes last season, but we all know what went wrong there.

I'm hoping a new coach, new coordinators and a new scheme all contribute to this being a "break-out" season for our offense.

Throw some "real" offensive production on top of our dominating defense and you have the recipe for success!

They have the talent to be the best team in the league. But its not really going to come down to the talent. Its going to come down to coaching and health.

we most certainly have the talent to make such a explosive run right now at this day and age, but it takes hard work, dedication, determination, drive and motivation to keep everyone along and going in the same direction, along the same path many many teams before have traveled down. I think that if we get comfortable and really establish that fine tune in which all teams want and need to make a run....then most certainly we can surely see ourselves making a run quite possibly earlier than expected maybe less than 5 years no one knows for dead certain about anything. One thing is certain of the present..we're heading in that general direction and with Harbaugh's new way of thinking leading the way, there has been a few changes here and there, thus marking the dawn of a new Baltimore Era, the locker room's have been switched up, so that everyone can get completely comfortable with each other..becoming that of a True Team.... and Harbaugh himself is having his own hands-own experiences with the team and the players (individually)...

one thing you need to make a championship run is that of a solid Foundation....thus these new additions to the coaching staff and changes abroad, really have this team going/heading in the right direction. though not completely there yet....we are surely further along than, i think, anyone expected....but there's still tests to be proven and a season to be played....seeing how noone has seen what the 2008 Baltimore Ravens will look and "Be" like noone can truly prepare for us, thus marking us in having quite the advantage. One thing that we have in fact noticed is that with Harbaugh's enthasis of using "free weights" in the weight room...Bart Scott said it best when he said "its old school Pure Power Football..Raven Style" he also added that one thing the fans can look forward to is a "Bigger, stronger, more powerful Ravens Team in 2008" and thats something that has gotten Raven fans excited about.

thats got to be something worth shouting for

thats got to be something worth getting excited for.

Raven Nation Stand up!

That advantage of no film on the Ravens will give us a BIG hand over the other teams. Especially since they havent seen what the team can do because everything start from scratch when Harbaugh was hired.

Thats not true. I mean offensively that works but Rex is back, so its still the same defense.

Yeah, but studying our defense isn't going to give you very much knowledge, except for the fact that the only way to beat it is to run a quick no huddle offense.

Yes its true that Rex Ryan is back and all.. But it still doesnt change the fact that the other teams gotta wait and see the offense perform. They dont know how the offense looks like as of right now. Maybe some stuff will change for the defense as well. (To make it better I hope)

teams can study our defense all they want...they've been doing the same or Trying to do it...for the last decade and yet, year after year, we've played consistantly on defense consistantly been within the top 5 or even top 4 for the past 10 years. if teams figure out how to play against us, then we simply adjust our game-plan accordingly, thus making our opponents to keep thinking about what if or what to do against us.

as for our offense, well they dont have any tape to watch of us during this day and age (the Harbaugh) era....sure they have tape of us and our playing ability BEFORE. but thats the past and we have basically, a all new coaching staff, which marks the start of new ways of thinking and new ways to approach offensive schemes and what to do and when. thus Teams cant truly "prepare for us" as the outcome hasnt been un-veiled as of yet. but we has raven fans and people within the Ravens Organization know that this team will be faster, stronger, more physical, and best of all...more powerful.....recent changes and new coach involvement (Harbaugh's hands on handling of his team and getting to know everyone on the team, both on a player level and on a more personal level.....establishes more in depth relationships with everyone and in which calls for a better team all-round.

thus i say again....the future is certainly something in which Raven Fans alike, can be excited about.

Which hopefully won't be as crippling to the defense as in seasons past, thanks to the radio helmet rule.

with the way our defense has performed on a (overall) consistant basis of being one of the top ranked defenses in the league over the years....and with the new addition of the Defensive helmet radio....can only mean that things can only get better as time goes on...thus marking for at least a few less mistakes and mis-interpretations on the defensive side of the football.

the addition on the Radio on defense (like i said before) prompts the game to be only that much more "evenly matched" because now, both sides of the ball have a radio which cant surely have more benefits than not. plus i think that now, players will be able to stay only that much more focused on the field, and players will now be able to fall more son into their own Comfort zone in which provides our side of the football, with only the best they have to offer.

HECK YEA I SEE THE RAVENS WINNING A SUPER BOWL WITHIN 5 YEARS.. A new start in 1996 and they won 4 years later. Same will probably happen this year.. Maybe even better within 2-3 instead.

once again.......it all comes down to how well the whole team has adjusted to the new system and the new way of running what goes on out on the field (offensively as well as Defensively) and how well this team gets comfortable with whats going on.

this team certainly does have the potential go reach the SuperBowl within the next 5 year span or less maybe within the next 2-3 years or 1-2 years...we dont know for sure what will happen or how long things will take to gel together and really be that added extra "force" out on the field. Players are getting up there in the age department, thus we must keep addressing those needs in the Draft, not necessarily for the Draftee's to straight up take the starting job away from the veterans, but more so that we dont need to worry about if one key player goes down with injury....we dont have a player whom can step in and fill the vacancy and maintain if not exceed performance.

so yes i can think that we can/could get there within the next 5 years, its something that is certainly plausable and within the realm of Reality....and by the way the Rookies of yesterday performed last season....we certainly do have alot of upside and things to look forward to in both the near and far future for this Team.

i can definitely see the ravens winning in the next 3 years if all goes well. but you're right, in this day and age of mediocrity teams generally do not stay good/bad for long. no team should be taken lightly. and if that happens to next year's ravens alot of teams will be heading back to the locker room with their heads down.

I still disagree with that. What your saying will only work, if we can get those younger guys on offense to step up. As of right now a defense has to do two things to shut our offense down:

1. Put 8 men in the box.

2. Cover Heap like a reciever.

We have the talent to get the job done, I am not saying we dont but the time is now for Clayton and Williams to step up. We also need Smith or Boller to step up and find some consistency. We have the talent to go all the way this coming season but these guys have got to get it together. Right now the Ravens problem isnt other teams knowing what they are going to do because of film. The Ravens problem is the Ravens.

in order for "everything" to not only work...but work "well"....everyone has to step it up...not just the younger players.....because last time i checked...football was a "team" sport and thus prompting the issue of Team and everyone working together, in unison as one towards a common goal...win.

i think that with this new coaching staff coming in here and with the new way things are really shaping up to be...there will certainly be a fair share of "new" looks on offense and as a team overall....changes are in the mix...as with any other team in the NFL right now, past and present....with a new staff...comes a different way of running things and getting things done. So seeing how Cameron has turned every offense he's been with over the years (collegiate and profressional) into power house squads.....and seeing how we can (hopefully) re-tain much of our dominance on defense with Rex back calling the defensive shots, we can surely see a change in the mix...some of which has already taken or been in affect (the locker room changes, players motivated more so than previous years exc.....) and like i said before....noone truly "knows" what this teams outcome will finally be like or turn out to be....as there is no tape or anything to look off of and study from...opponents cant truly "prepare" for us the normal way they do with everyone else.....thus the only thing we can do is wait it out and see how it goes from here.

im sure that Cameron will work up quite a few plays in which will incorporate Heap and other players more so than not....and i believe also that Cam could be able to work into our game plan, the less "out spoken" athletes on this team..and really bring them along, into the light and really let their talents take over...for we must know everyone's talents and abilities, and hide noone from anyone whom we come up against. so be on the lookout for certain play changes and player incorporations......heck we may even try to incoporate our offensive draft prospects this year as well as last year, into the offensive game plan, to make them (not only more useful) but to exploit there talents more so thanjust 1 area.......exploit and use the player to the best of their ability, exceed themselves and others and really have them emerge.

well i still like somewhat the fact that the other teams are in the dark when trying to look us up to better their gameplan against us.

08-09 season is gonna be good, If Baltimore stays healthy this year we have a shot at the SB. We all know the defense is going to be top 5 once again, but hopefully the offense adapts quick to a new offensive system, If our offense clicks I can see us back to being a 13-3 team and in the playoffs with a chance.

As previously stated, the ravens have the talent and the ability, but now they just need to execute. Like harbaugh said, the ravens need to "FINISH" the games. After all, you can't possibly have the same bad luck with injuries and such twice in a row, can you? Obviously, they are working very hard to ensure that doesn't happen again.

I believe they can get it done, now its just time to sit back and wait for the new season to unfold B)
