It's dough that is infused, infused I say, with pure porkloin then baked until golden brown.

Honestly... I have no idea.

I haven't eaten at McD's in many months as I'm cutting my weight from 200 to the 170ish level. Their burgers, even the angus, were ok but they use high fat meat which is to be expected.

If I want a burger local I either hit up five guys or silver diner. if you haven't had a burger at silver diner you should, you may be surprised. My wife doesn't eat meat often but when she wants a burger she wants silver diner. I've been to in-n-out burger on the west coast and they are good to. if it's good enough for a movie star it's good enough for us commoners too.

I'm too big of a bbq fan to eat a mcrib. If I want ribs I go to the black hog in frederick. Their bbq is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

I... don't know about that, Wardy.

"Pork roll is a type of sausage-like meat. . ."
I don't like the term "sausage-like :|

"Although the product is widely consumed and enjoyed, it resists accurate description. . ."
It's "sausage-like", and apparently those who ate it cannot describe it.

"Some people compare the taste and/or texture to SPAM, Treet, bologna, mild salami, smoked summer sausage, or US-style Canadian bacon."
What a combination. Salami: Good. Sausage: Good. Canadian Bacon: Good. Bologna: Meh. Spam: Gross. Treet: Gross.

You know... maybe the McRib is actually a derivative of this mysterious pork roll, just with a little McDonald's ingenuity to make it appear as a rib, because that certainly doesn't taste like any pork or rib I've ever had before.

Ate in a Russian McDonalds on a cold snowy night (go figure). Thought it was going to be easy enough to order, walked in and couldn't understand the writing at all and there were no pictures to point at either!

My wife and I went there on a friend's suggestion and we absolutely loved it. We've been back a few times since and we've never had anything bad. My wife is very picky about her buffalo wings. Up until now she would only eat wings at one spot and that's Ott House in Emmitsburg. Now, every time we go to black hog we get wings at least for an appetizer. She swore that Maryland restaurant's couldn't make wings like they do in NE Ohio where she's from.

Can't remember. Wasn't what I wanted though. You would think that "Big Mac" is universal, but they didn't comprehend and there were no symbols on the big board that resembled anything like that.

Pictures are key. You gotta have pictures or products lined up somewhere. My three years spent living in Europe, pointing at things was a way of life.

Japan, Fiji, Scotland and Italy (Amalfi Coast)......way smaller portions and the soda is amazing.

In Japan they actually have the thick noodles (Yakisoba) in soup.....weird.

Going to the Philippines for Christmas, so I'll be adding that to the list.

Lived in Japan for a year. Can't say I even saw a McDonalds. But then again, with as good as the local food was, I probably wouldn't have wasted my time. There was a soba truck on base that used to play music like a Japanese Ice Cream Truck and a hot sweet potato truck off base that did the same thing.

The one thing they did have over there was a place called California Chicken. Obviously owned/operated by an American, it was right outside the gate and across from a club and the food was goooooood.

My in-laws live in Japan and we visited in 2008. Flew into Tokyo and then stayed 3 weeks near the Kadena base in Okinawa. The food there is fantastic, but my wife and her family are Filipino and they have this facination with fast food.

lmao. That kind of sucks for you I guess sometimes. I was in Iwakuni which is about 40 miles south of Hiroshima.

I would live to take the Mrs. back there with me. Beautiful country and wonderful people.

Never made it to the Philipines, but I've heard some good things about it (Guam too).

What was Fiji like?

Fiji was unbelievable. We went to the Taveuni Island (didn't realize the Fiji Islands were comprised of over 300 islands).

It was amazing....water, food, scenery, staff...everything!! The plane ride from the mainland was a bit scary though.

*sigh* I can only imagine. It always looks beautiful in pictures.

The only thing I do not enjoy about the South Pacific: The plane ride. As you know, Japan alone is 13 or 14 hours going over and like 11 coming back.

There's a top notch Japanese restaurant around the corner from me. Most of the staff is from near the village I was stationed. It's pretty cool to go in and talk with them and the food is amazing....just very expensive.

Chipotle <3

Well I don't know if it's considered "fast food" but I hated that I moved from Cincinnati just for that one place.

It's still fast-food, so I wouldn't expect the greatest burger in the world, but it's a pretty good burger for fast-food. The tots and fries are great. The wide menu selection and limeade drink combinations are what really draw you in.

Cherry limeades are like liquid crack. I could drink those all day.
Thats something I will never try then hehehe The lime frutistas that Taco Bell had this past summer were to die for.

In Nebraska, we have Runza Restaurants, started and headquatered in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Runza is a unique sandwich (see below). Their onion rings are homemade, handmade, and double batter-dipped.
