He "just wants to win"? He's a head-case. And if he's brought here, what happens to Mason? You think he'd appreciate being demoted?
LOL and I didn't think so until today. SMH.

I'm not convinced that Stallworth is "that guy" to stretch the field. Boldin, Mason and Moss on the field at once is ridiculous and having Moss opens up everything underneath. If a team is dumb enough not to double Moss, he burns them. TJ has done nothing, and Cameron loves the big WR which is something he doesn't have.

What scares me is:

THE COLTS.

Could you imagine the combination of Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, and Randy Moss?!?!?
Nah, I doubt it. I would think the chances of him coming here are slim, but I think he'll go to a team who is trying to make a playoff push.

Why is every thread about Flacco for you? Let it go man.....
The thread is about Randy Moss and would he help the Ravens. I was explaining why Randy Moss, or any other receiver, really won't change much for Baltimore. You can only play so many receivers. The Ravens have 3 receivers who are pretty good. And the offense still isn't doing what they were expected to do. The common link between the receivers on a team? THE QB. Or I could have brought up the playcalling, but I'm sure you would have cried about someone bringing that up too. So, maybe you should let it go.

Mason said he wants to win...and I'm pretty sure Mason will still be a big part of the game plan whether Moss comes or not.

Just curious to see what people think about the possibility of Moss wearing a different shade of purple... :baltimore-ravens:
Just what we need. More elite receivers trying to get their hands on the ONE BALL we have. It's not going to happen and if it does for some crazy reason, I will be super ticked off.

Moss isn't physical at all. The man has 13 receptions on the year and I'd say at least 6 of them have come on fly routes.
He also has 5 TDs...same as Boldin.

Randy Moss give up on plays and stops playing all together when his team is down late in the game. You think we would of beat the Bills with Randy Moss running lazy routes?

Randy Moss is one of my favorite receivers in the league.....but you know there is a big problem if a team invests a 3rd round pick on him and then releases him.

But if he comes cheap, he would add an element to this Ravens offense that would be HUGELY beneficial for them.

The truth is, as long as Mase gets the ball he doesn't care what our win/loss column looks like.

I don't see you can say a guy whose caught a game-winning TD pass and drawn seemingly more PI penalties than anyone on the team has done "nothing".

All outspoken say they want to win. It's not some mark of distinction.

How do you know Mason would be a big part of the game-plan if Moss was signed? Cam hasn't been able to keep up all three WRs involved all season.

Let's sign him and trade him back to the Patriots for Matt Light or Vince Wilfork and a 3rd round pick

Q has 25 more catches though. It's great that he run a fly route but what happens when the team needs him to move the chains?

Weren't we worried that Housh would do this?
Housh already commented on that, and actually we have not ran into that problem. That whole situation was blown completely out of proportion, in my opinion. Honestly, I can see T.J. being happy as long as we're winning, and I don't think the same can be said for Moss.
We seem to think we have this stacked WR core but that is just completely untrue.

Boldin - Possession
TJ- Possession
Mason- Possession

The best guy on our team to stretch the field is Heap and he is hurt. Yeah Donte is coming back but lets be honest here Moss > Stallworth
EDIT: Plus Stallworth has never played a full season in his career.
Who cares if their "possession" receivers? Having a fast, deep threat receiver is blown out of proportion and is not as important as fans like to think it is. Boldin and Mason are absolutely fantastic route runners with top-notch hands. Thanks to their abilities, they're great at getting behind the secondary, or break into open field to make a catch.

Also, let's not forget that our rookie tight ends should be seeing more snaps as the Ravens seem to want to give Heap some rest. Dickson has shown the ability to stretch the field (58 yard reception against Denver anyone) with his limited looks this season. Then there's Pitta, who's also a fantastic receiving tight end. Both of those men are built to stretch the field, and tear up the middle of the field. It seems people forget that your speedy "deep threat" doesn't always have to be a wide receiver. Cam loves his tight ends also...

You have Boldin and Mase for that on 3rd down. He can still run a fly on 3rd down if he wants because if he's open Joe will throw it to him. If not you have Heap, Mason, and Boldin who can move the chains.

Send moss on a Fly, and Let Mason/Boldin work the inside. Teams still have to gameplan for moss they dont gameplan for stallworth, and knowing cam he is prbably going to not even play stallworth this year

Drawing PI's is certainly commendable, but he's dropped way too many passes and hasn't been the best locker room guy either. I mean, he said he was happy that Pitt took the lead against us for goodness sake (he's lucky we won and that he was the reason why). I'm not advocating we get Moss or don't, but I don't think we should disregard it.

Let's try him out. Hear me out on this:

1) We bring him in to "see if his conditioning holds up".

2) Then in one of the drills, we have him lined up as a RB.

3) Ngata pummels him, breaking both his legs.

4) Now no one can have him.

5) Moss conducts self-interviews. "Was my legs broken? Yes. Am I Randy Moss? Yes."

If we didn't add Boldin, Stalls and Housh this year, I would say lets jump all over this. But like I said "there is one ball, 3 receivers who want the ball, 2 half backs who want the ball, 1 full back who wants the ball and a QB who is trying to please everyone". Also, Heap doesn't necessarily ask for the ball but he's getting it.

This would just sound like a formula similar to "too many chiefs and not enough Indians".

The only player I wanted us to get that was waived halfway through a season is now a Redskin. Yes, we would of been amazing with DeAngelo Hall.....

I would LOVE to see Randy in a Ravens uniform. Say what you will about him, but him and Boldin on the field at the same time would be unstoppable. Lock it up Oz!!!

We have the 2nd best record in the AFC right now (yes, drink it in, its like 2006 all over again) and the 4th best record in the league behind Pats, Giants and Bucs.

I just don't see him falling to us.

I don't think there is such thing as having too much talent. If any egos get bruised and cause problems, they're not guys I'd want here anyway.

Randy is overrated. I'd take WRs like Boldin, TO and even Percy Harvin over him any day of the week. There's talk of him still being a really good WR, just not as good as he once was. But even that's a stretch. All we need to do is get TJ more involved in our own passing game. I'm by no means willing to release/trade him because he's still a great fit in this offense. So some people really need to cut the hate.

This team doesn't need Randy Moss.

Housh is already been complaining about it. If we are to sign Moss for some reason, I would be fine with it only if we cut Housh. I will not forgive him for the Steeler comments. Unforgivable.

Wide Receivers are divas. They are all pretty much narcissistic, arrogant headcases (minus Colston, Andre, Larry and Calvin). Too many people want the ball and it would cause problems.

Plus when we see the Pats in the playoffs he will probably play like crap for us to make daddy belichick and tom beiber win the game lol

Both of those ideas sound great in theory but what if Moss doesn't see a deep ball and goes on another ridiculous rant to me the media?

Team chemistry. It may not seem like a big deal but there's a reason within the past two months, two teams have decided he wasn't worth the trouble.
I'll agree his game against the Bengals was very poor and his comments were bizarre but Cam has also gone long stretches in a number of games without trying to get him involved.

Look at the Pats game. He caught two screens and got positive yards and first down on one and then he saw just one pass the rest of the game.
