The Ravens were the biggest winners today! They didn't even play. I realllly want to get 2 W's next week though. That would be perfect

I sure hope our secondary plays better, the no-name Bills sure did carve them up, so I'm hoping that was just a bad game and not an indication of how things are gonna be. These are both very winable games these next two weeks, I believe it is very important that we dominate the time of possession vs Miami. Let Rice and McGahee smash and dash.

if anyone wants a good laugh and a big smile, go to the Jets & Steelers message boards. All hell is breaking loose.

Yeah, but Miami's looking real dangerous on the road.... I get this feeling they're going to run headlong into a black and purple brick wall.

According to NFL Standings .. It still has us #2 behind the Squeelers, Why is that ?
[/quote]
They don't take into consideration tie breakers until the playoffs are upon us...

Good thing they lost, the Saints exposed their secondary (well they expose a lot of secondaries, true) but Pitt's pass D this year isn't really that good. That bodes well for our matchup later on.

Also, lol @ Jets being shut out

Odd... but stupid. Why not take into consideration all tie breakers throughout the season so it's easier for people to understand. Right now most people are confused by seeing the Steelers atop the standings because there is no tie breaker put in consideration yet. Though if you go to http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/standings they take into consideration the tie breakers and have us atop the standings.

NFL Standings just havent been updated yet. ESPN standings has us at number 1!

I take that back just checked again and now NFL has us at number 1 also.

The no name Bills?? Sorry but they are just the winless Bills, if you look at their offense and tell me you don't know at least two of their WRs or that they are no names, then you really need to pay more attention. Fitzpatrick isn't even a no name, might not be a HUGE name but he is a good QB. I kind of feel sorry for them Bills, glad we got the win but they actually play decent ball, just don't finish. Which is obviously the main part!

That's how it should be. I mean tie breaker taken into fact now or end of the season, don't mean nothing when we are 2-1 in the division and Pittsburgh is 1-1. We still may be 5-2 same as Pittsburgh in over all standings, but we get that 2-1 division record edge, and the win/ tie breaker w/e yall want to call it sure helps out no matter end of season or two games in (IMO)!

We are ranked 2 just behind New England at 1 in the AFC. Jets at 4 and Steelers at 5. Its nice to be where we are. Just would have been much better had we won that game in New England.

I saw a post from Pittsburgh fan calling for a Heath Miller trade lmao, then he followed up saying " if we stay tied with Baltimore we're finished" that's priceless! It's wasn't all Millers fault, I mean it sure didn't help but tell me seeing Troy blow that coverage for that Brees 50 yard pass and then Bennys pick, wasn't music to the Ravens fans ears!!! Hey it was almost the perfect weekend with us having our bye and all but two teams losing that would help us out. I mean it all fell into our laps except Kansas City and the Pats, not a bad bye week at all!

Im not usually one to rub things in. But I think it is funny as hell that all preseason the talk of the town was how tough the Bengals were going to be. They would be defending last years division win. I know we lost to them but that will change at our next meeting. The Bengals have a long climb to try and save their season. They sit at 14 in the AFC.

Eh. I can't really talk bad about them after having dropped, what, the last three to them. I sure as heck hope we beat them in December, but it's hard to smack-talk them when their defense shut us down.

Exactly they have beat us the last 3 times so we don't have much to brag about but we can celebrate that they are losing. I was thinking about that game in December and will that even matter? I mean it could very well be something where we have the AFC North locked up, the # 2 Seed Locked up and won't be playing for much. This is the only downfall to Goodell's division matchups at the end of the year, they won't mean much.

Dont get me wrong, I wasnt and would never smack talk unless pulled into a sensless debate with someone. I agree they have had our number lately but hope to get the next one. It was more of a generalization of what they were saying and how their season would pan out. Not even close. They have a tough road ahead of them.
No smack-talk intended.

I feel ya man and know where you were going with your original post about it. Hey I feel the same way, I mean all they were talking about in Cincy is how the dynamic duo was going to thrash the NFL this season and the AFC North, IMO they are looking more like ink and dink rather than batman and robin. Hey I still got my popcorn ready and waiting for this show they promised all of us!!!

I know right lol. That's why I love our Ravens man, after all the upgrades we have got and the draft picks we have a great team and it's known. Yeah maybe we haven't instilled a dominant fear and just light up every team we play. But we are 5-2 in a tough AFC conference and all 7 of those games were just that, all AFC games. Our team has class and didn't have to go out like batman and robin and create all the hoopla. Our players just spoke with class and confidence, about how they thought or what they thought we should accomplish this season!

They must not have updated it when you looked. Baltimore is above Pittsburgh now.

That doesn't matter at this point. The Ravens beat the Steelers and own the main tiebreaker.
