That's the way it goes. We got, I think, the best bye week. Right before the half-way point - and we needed it. Nobody gets a perfect schedule. I'm going to enjoy waking up tomorrow and rooting for Green Bay, then Minnesota, and later on for the Saints to bounce back against the steelers. I live in TX so I usually don't get to watch Ravens games at my house. All the games I want to see this week are on Fox and at different times. It's a perfect storm of play-off implication games this sunday.

I'm going to both of those games, my first ever games.

That's the schedule we've got and it's 2 games we can, and hopefully will, win. Only 5 days 'til I get to experience America...

haha, perfect crying material right there!

@ the OP...there is also a bright side to that, which is that we then get to play our following opponent on 10 days rest.
Not to mention that atlanta will also have to play us on a short week.

But man, I'm really starting to think that the 'NFL is out to get us' theorists are onto something. This schedule has been ridiculous all year.

if we go 1-1 after that i'd take it. so 6-3 would be alright as long as the results go our way this week.

obviously playing 2 games so close isn't ideal but i'm sure we'll manage

That's really tough, A game necessary against Falcons no doubt. We can't come out flat and let them get an early lead like the Bills did, otherwise we won't come back

Ugly... you would think but seeing how this season as played out it's not as ugly as we thought it would be in the off-season.

Dolphins: It seems even with Marshall Chad Henne hasn't shown any improvement and they just lost Jared Odrick for the year. They won't be a pushover by any means but it should be a win for us. Prediction: Win

@Falcons: This is another road game, and Atlanta is one of the toughest at home since Mike Smith took over. Should be a good game that comes down to the final second of who wins. Prediction: Win(Thanks to Cundiff)

@Panthers: John Fox's last year includes facing the AFC North, and the Panthers have not looked good on all sides of the ball. I have a feeling this may be more of a home game as I think more Ravens fans will show up over Panthers fans. Prediction: Win

Buccaneers: Won't be a pushover as they have done pretty well, but Ravens will walk away with this win. Prediction: Win

Steelers: This game will decide the AFC North. We won't know the winner until that clock officially hits 0:00. Prediction: Win

@Texans: If we are unlucky and finish 2nd in the AFC North, this game could be critical to the wild card spot, and also if we win the division this could determine who has a higher seed. In Houston this will be a tough game and with it being on MNF, the Texans will come out swinging. Prediction: Loss

@Saints: Could be Flexed since this is Week 12, but it seems like the Madden Curse has took over and the Saints are not the same team they were last year. They lost to the Browns pretty convincingly so this may wind up being a win for us instead of a loss. Prediction: Win

@Browns: Will be tough in Cleveland. I think Ravens may squeak out a road win in Cleveland and help cement their seed in the AFC. Prediction: Win

Bengals: Week 17, this will be interesting. As always Harbs will have this team playing regardless where we are in the seeding. Ravens split with Bengals to get momentum heading into the first round bye. Prediction: Win

8-1

Season Total: 13-3 First Round Bye

It's not that bad, Ravens have a bye week to rest up and then have 10 days before the following game. It'd be worse if the bye week was like week 4. (Or maybe the NFL wants to give us a bye at week 2 again...)

Falcons will be in the same situation, playing just 4 days after a previous game.

It's not any tougher for us than it is for them. They also have a bye this week.

I think there is a Raven fan that has found something to cry about ONCE AGAIN!! Good lord, enjoy the bye week quit crying and do some push ups! I know I damn sure wont miss watching them play this weekend and possibly go into their third straight game of over time, and have another case of possible cardiac arrest on my hands three weeks in a row??? Nah I'm good till next week, I need the bye myself.

I don't see it as bad as you do. The Falcons have to play on a short week as well and have their bye week now too. So its on even playing ground for the most part. I'd rather have two short games after the bye then during weeks 13 & 14.

And if you think this part of our schedule is hard, what did you think are first part of the season was?

It definitely makes it not too bad since we have a bye week. It's still only 2 games in 2 weeks. It just sucks we have to travel though

Everyone here seems to think we're going to lose to the Texans and I don't understand why. The Texans defense is god-awful and Matt Schaub has been inconsistent as hell.

With us playing 2 games in 4 days we get another 10 days rest b4 we play another game after the Falcons game. So just look at it as an extra bye week! We'll be fine , we'll also be 7-2 headed into our 2nd bye week :-)

Ok What I didn't realize until I heard this and I'm a little worried about the Dolphins game, they are 4-0 on the Road. This game is at M & T Bank and even though it's a home game for us and we are 3-0 at home, that 4-0 road record is something to think about.

Their road record is certainly impressive but the Ravens have had two weeks to prepare for them and if they want to contend for a Super Bowl, this is a game they must win.

Hey, Fly - I see it the opposite way. I'd rather have 4 of the last 6 games at home, with 2 win Cincy and Cleveland ending the schedule.

A hard first half, sure - but 4 of the last 7 games are sub-par teams... Carolina, Tampa, Cincy & Cleveland.

Yeah looking back at our schedule, I kinda wish that we had gotten Carolina sooner and The Patriots later. Like we could have had the Panthers in Week 6 and the Patriots on Week 11. Things will certainly be interesting... just can't believe it's week 8 already.

It sure helps a lot considering 6 of the last 10 are at home, as oppose to on the road.

It was good to see my team get dominated down in nawlans-brings me down to earth a bit and hopeful for another knuckle biting war with you guys for the division. I think our defense will win it for us-you guys better get healthy and be ready!

Next Year:

Bengals
Steelers
Browns
AFC South(Colts, Texans at Home, Titans, Jags Away)
NFC West(49ers, Seahawks at Home, Cardinals, Rams Away)
AFC East Opponent(Home, Depending on whether we win the division or place second we'll have Patriots(1st) or Jets(2nd) come to Baltimore.
AFC West Opponent(Away, again depending on where we place, meaning we would go to KC(1st Place) or Oakland(2nd) 1st Place Team in Division, right now we go to KC)

It's not going to get any easier has that is a hard schedule.

Oh wow the Ravens have it easy next year, that would be even better if the tougher games were at home(like Indy and Tennessee).
