Because I'm from Bmore and the Ravens used to be all I knew. I Will always be a Ravens fan for the rest of my life. Even if they go into an Orioles drought....yup still an O's fan also lol

I didn't really follow the NFL when I was growing up, except for whatever games my mom would watch (she's a Redskins fan) when we lived in MD, CA, AZ, then NM. I moved back to MD in 2005 and I took a look at the Redskins, but I just couldn't get behind them. It was the first year of Danny boy's experiment in bringing Joe Gibbs back, which eventually flopped. Add on that most people hated their owner and didn't seem to be so passionate about their teams, it just didn't feel right to cheer them on.

So I looked northward, this was in 2006 when the Ravens went on a hot-streak with McNair. I watched them play against Oakland and I was hooked on watching the team. I started researching and saw that Bisciotti wasn't an idiot, and Billick was a decent coach, so it looked like a good team to watch. I didn't regret it as I watched through the end of that season, though our loss to the Colts in the divisional round (the kicking-only game) was painful to watch.

Went to my first game the following year and that sealed the deal, good fans, good management, good team, it was a win-win-win all around.

I was raised a Baltimore Colts fan, then became a Stallions fan, and now a Ravens fan. I am so glad we left Cleveland's colors for Cleveland! I love my hometown Ravens!

Started to watch the NFL and just fell in love with the Ravens. :wub:They are a class act top to bottom. Love the way they play, also really disliked the Steelers for a reason I couldn't figure out, now I think it is because I was destined to be a Ravens fan

Essentially, I grew up watching the Browns with my Grandpa - somewhere in the late Bernie Kosar era lol. I became a huge fan because of him. He died the same year the Browns became the Ravens (96 if I remember correctly). I decided that since it was still the same team that I had been routing for my whole life I would follow them to Baltimore.

I have been a die hard fan ever since. I am definately glad I did for tons of reasons including the fact that my fiancee and I go 8-10 times a year for games and sometimes just to visit the Harbor and go to Miss Shirley's for the poached eggs on crabcakes lol.

I always wondered what he would have thought of my decision - especially since I now despise the Browns and the entire AFC North lol. I hope I get to find out someday.

I'm 29. I've lived outside of Baltimore my whole life. Grew up in Linthicum, now I live in Hanover by Arundel Mills. It's only natural, I have to support my home team. The Ravens have made me proud to live in the area with the way the front office conducts their business and the way the players perform on the field. When I was a little kid, before we got the Ravens, I didn't really follow football, was indifferent about the closest team, at the time, the Redskins. Although, the 4 straight years the Bills were in the Superbowl I cheered for them because my Aunt and Uncle lived in Buffalo and my parents and I wanted to show them moral support.

I like teams who play hard on the field and then do nice stuff off of it. I never paid attention to football because of Vick and Pacman Jones and all these different scandals going on with football players until I saw the 2008 (technically 2009) AFC Championship game. McGahee ended up getting carted off the field and I was concerned, so I looked him up a few hours later trying to see if I could get any news. Figured if anyone knew, it'd be his team, so I came here. Meandered around a bit and found the community news section with all the acts of kindness and charity. From then I got hooked. Here was a team going into the most important time in football, the playoffs where there are no second chances, and they're playing Santa and visiting people in hospitals and giving away dinners and coats and stuff. And they still played their hearts out. I said right then "I am a fan of the Baltimore Ravens." And I will bleed purple until I die.

I'm a UK based Ravens fan. First game of football I ever watched was Superbowl XXXV, Ravens vs Giants. I was about 11 at the time and my Dad asked me if I wanted to watch it. He asked who I wanted to cheer for, I said the Ravens because I liked their uniform. So that was the beginnings, but I only began watching the NFL regularly and seriously about 5 years ago and I picked the Ravens. Love watching them play because of their hard hitting defense. So that's my main reason for being a Ravens fan. But another reason is that whenever I watch games on TV the atmosphere seems amazing.

Hoping to come over in the next season or two to come watch a game or two.

I grew up playing football in MD, when I was starting high school we got our team back. I've got the Gameday program from the inaugural game with the Raiders at Memorial framed on my wall. That also happened to be the first pro football game my old man ever took me to. Naturally I've bled purple ever since.

i was never much of a football fan, more of a baseball person (white sox fan), but a friend of mine asked me over to watch the texans game this past post-season. even though i was rooting for my friends team at the time, i was thoroughly impressed by the ravens tenacity. impressed so much that after i spent a week consoling my friend on his tough loss, i decided to catch the ravens game against the patriots. i'm sure the loss was heartfelt for many of you and the players, i for one felt like a winner in that i found a reason to watch football. with any luck, this season will make me an even bigger fan of both the sport and the team.

i don't know if i will visit the boards all too often, but i'll do my best to support the team in any way i can.

I have found a 7 minute montage on youtube that I watch everyday religiously. Was so nice to sweep them haha. Cant wait for this season.
