Because there was a team and then there was not a team and now there is a team..that's my story.

Why? Last year I was called someone who got on the band wagon, who would not last a minute, because I was a former Eagles Fan. I admit that I was a fan,(Eagles) but not firmly rooted. However, here I am, here to stay! From a frivolous point, I like the color purple, from a household challenging point, my husband dislikes the Ravens...he is a Raiders Fan. He looks to see them loose and I of course am raven-mad shouting for a win. I do like the potential that this team has and the improvements that I do see. Sometimes it is very disheartening to see them crumble unnecessarily, but they do come back with a vengeance. It is a great team to grow in the spirit of footbal with and I do appreciate the fans and their feedback. I may have to change my sneaker heels, because I got me some bunions :34853_shakehead: but not my Team. I am a Ravens Fans for the duration.

Why am I a Ravens fan?

I was born in the 80s, and lived in Annapolis, in the days before football returned to Maryland. My parents were both Redskins fans (my dad was pretty passionate), but I really loved Maryland, so when the Ravens came to town, I quickly jumped aboard. I've lived all around MD (St. Mary's County, Annapolis, Parkville, Bowie), and supported my team the whole way. My two best friends are a Redskins fan and a Steelers fan respectively, so we get pretty involved in Football debates, but it's great to have a local team to support. Baltimore is a great city, and Maryland is a great state. I also love the mentality of our team, the whole "next man up" and "organized chaos" thing.

I just love the players , the coaching staff and the way they play the game . Amazing defence , guys like Ray Lewis who can read a play and turn the game around ..Billy Cundiff with his spot on kicks and Joe Flacco who given the proper protection can make anything happen ... The Ravens are MY TEAM !!!

I live in Toronto, Canada but I am originally from Romania. When I first moved to Canada, I watched a number of football games, but I was never really into it.

About 4 years ago, I was sick with the flu and decided to watch some TV and saw there was football on - I decided to watch the game, after all I am too sick to go out.

I believe it was Baltimore - Cleveland and they won. I was fascinated about how incredible the defense was, eventhough I didn't even know the rules of the game. But something just made me fall in love with Baltimore. I could have picked any team, but something just attracted me to this team and I started following football more, and of course Baltimore. I got hooked.

And I feel I am such a big fan, big enough to do a road trip this weekend all the way from Toronto to Pittsburgh just to see the game, because I have a strong feeling we will win and I just couldn't imagine how incredible it will feel to be in that stadium and witness that.

:) Make me proud this Saturday! :)

Im in the Navy and Im originally from York, PA. 5 minutes above the mason-dixon line. I used to be an Eagles fan because Baltimore didnt have football. I've been an Orioles fan my entire 27 years and when the Ravens came around, my stepmom was so overwhelmed by Baltimore bringing back a team that I wanted to be a fan too. Having both my football team and baseball team next door to each other is great. I get flack from a lot of people since im not from MD, but oh well. I can't stand the Steelers, but still go for the Eagles every now and then. Ravens football is real football and it shows every time they play. People can hate the Ravens all they want. It's just more people we can piss off after we beat the crap out of THEIR team lmao!!

2003 Madden. Yeah that's right, Madden.

I didn't follow football through the 90's as I didn't find any of the teams interesting and my life was really consumed at the time. I did in the late 80's some what but not that heavily.

Well, I had a few video game consoles and started playing Madden 03'. I decided why not give it a shot. I saw that they had the option to move a franchise and well I chose Baltimore. I all ready knew the rest of the teams and they just didn't seem that appealing to me. Anyone who plays Madden for quite an extensive amount of time, starts to learn things. Players, players positions, their salary cap, what they excel at and what they don't, so on and so forth. After playing with the Ravens 11 seasons that game, I felt like I had began to know the team and some people who never existed in real life.

What happens next? I start watching them on t.v. I knew all of their names all ready, so why not? Week by week, I would catch myself flipping through the channels looking for their game. If I couldn't find it, I would go to a public place who did have it and now I just use NFL Sunday Ticket to never miss a game.

I come from a mixed NFL family, dad-oilers?! mum-bears, sister-redskins. I wanted something different, that's why I chose the Ravens.

When they play they are not just a bunch of men but they are brothers out there on the field, from the little brother rookies to the wise older brother veterans. If a scuffle breaks out or a player is downed, they rally around that one person and protect each other. The dedication each player puts into the game come win or loose definitely shows with the playing.

Growing up in Mexico you could see half the city wearing cowboy colors... I saw the ravens beat the cowboys in their last home game in cowboy stadium and that was enough for me, Then you see all the sweat and blood ray put on this team... There should be no other team than the Ravens but then they wouldnt be a league.. jaja go Bmore.. From El Paso Tx.. !

Hello to everyone on here, I am moving down to Virginia in a few months and I was deciding on what local team I want to be a fan of. I looked at the Redskins and thought I like to see drama on TV not the football team I root for. I looked at the Ravens and it was an easy decision, the organization as a whole does everything first class as you all know, have loved watching the defense perform at a high level year in & year out. I am fully committed to being a Baltimore Raven fan for many years to come.

I have been a Ravens fan since they started. My father would get season tickets every year and we went to see them win their first Superbowl. I'm a huge fan and I'm just interested in how others became Ravens fans.

I grew up in between I495 and I695 so I was raised to be one of two things: a Skins fan, or a Steelers fan. So naturally I became a Colts/Ravens fan.

(FYI, I don't mean Indy. If I meant Indy, I'd say 'Indy'. Never, ever, the 'Colts'... Irsay's still a Jerk-store, and I laugh at the $200M they're gonna lose because of the lockout this year (SuperBowl's at Indy). Wow, this sidenote got really out of hand... I think I'll make this my signature... I'll stop here.)

:)

Been a fan since they arrived. Love the way they play. Enjoy how they are looked upon by the rest of the league as "Bullies & Thugs". After all, bullies & thugs need love too!

When I was looking for a team to really pull for a few years ago, Ray Lewis and the Ravens' tough style of play caught my eye. I love their coach and the way they handle business. I was hooked from day one.

That, and the logo is the best in all of the NFL.

I'm from Baltimore, whaddaya think is the reason? Anyway, it's because their defense is dynamic, their offense is pretty incredible, and because why would I go for any other team?

Oh I get this question all the time, being from south-central PA and NOT kissing the ground the Steelers walk on and also being highly indifferent to the Eagles. And there are lots of reasons.

Baltimore always has been one of my hangouts, as it's the closest big city near my hometown.

I remember watching the news footage of the Mayflower trucks leaving.

The Ravens came from Cleveland and I fell in love.

Been head over heels ever since. :)

I love the ravens because I've grown up with them. I was 5 years old when they came to Baltimore, and even then I still didn't fully appreciate football. I began to take notice when the Vault was built and my dad and two of my uncle lucked into season tickets. At that point the ravens became "our" team, and I have followed ever since. I have only been to 3 or 4 games even with my parents having tickets since '98 because they would always go, but slowly I have grown to love them. Also, I am from Emmitsburg, which is right between Skins fans and Steelers fans. You never hear good job ravens, and the Ravens haven't really been accepted by other fans. Even on NFL network you never see ravens highlights, never hear about the great defense for the past decade. You never hear that Flacco has the best 4 year starting record of any Quarterback, and throughout this season I only saw 2 or 3 segments on our team, even though we are the #2 seed. As a fan I am always the underdog much like the Ravens in the league.......but I kind of like it that way!

I have always liked Ray Lewis and what he brings to each game. The Ravens also have the coolest uniforms and logo, in my opinion. On top of this, I have always hated the Steelers with a passion. So it was a no brainer for me. Ravens for life....
