Not really because the Steelers didnt lose to the Bengals who are a bad football team and the Ravens did. So if the Steelers end up beating the Ravens in Baltimore next Sunday the Ravens would then need the Steelers to either lose to the Bengals at Heinz Field which is highly unlikely, or the Browns in Cleveland which could happen but I wouldnt want to put money on it. The Steelers can beat the Ravens and still lose that game to the Jets and finsih 12-4 and the Ravens can win out the last 4 games and finish 12-4 as well and still not win the division because their division record would be 4-2 to the Steelers 5-1, and you can then look back at the Bengals loss at that point as the main reason why you didnt win the division. All hypothetical of course but it's a very vaild point I think...
Why is it seemingly all of your posts deal in hypotheticals? Of course if the Ravens lose to the Steelers, that Bengals loss will hurt. That's pretty darn obvious dude. If the Ravens beat the Steelers, all of what you said goes down the drain though and the Steelers will look at those two losses as why they didn't win the division.

Every single one is like that....its "well, if this happens and that happens, you'll need this to happen, BUT if this happens........."

First things first, TB, but damn, I cannot wait until next Sunday!!!

Apparently, I'm behind the times. Thanks for pointing that out.....buddy.

But, since we can say "balls" I'd like to address the "if" factor: "IF" my Aunt had balls, she'd be my Uncle.

I think both are close. I heard today (Courtesy of Gil Brandt) that 19 teams are within a game of first place in the division lead. First time in NFL history.

So, what would that make your "Uncle" Aunt's husband? Is he still your Uncle...?

"If" my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle and would have therefore married an Aunt...."if" she wasn't, you know, same sex oriented. But that's another discussion.

The NFC West is just... there are no words to describe it.. all I know is when I see a 5-5 team leading a division, it makes me want to curl up & die. What's worse, 4th place in that division is only 2 games behind. Pitiful...

They should just give the NFC West spot to someone who actually deserves it. :-x

Hey, no problem....whatever I can do to keep you hip :)

I will say, though, that whomever loses next Sunday will, more than likely, not win the division :D

Im pulling for the Ravens Sunday because the odds of the Ravens losing 2 home games in a row back to back weeks late in the season is highly unlikely. One thing the Ravens have done under John Harbaugh since he has been the coach in 2008 is beat the teams they are suppose to beat especially when they play them in Baltimore. Which is why I expect the Ravens to take care of Tampa Bay on Sunday...Then, the Steelers the next week will have the Ravens I believe right where they want them long overdue for a loss in Baltimore and payback for the loss in Pittsburgh in October...

The Ravens need to win this game as much as the Steelers do, if not more. We've had to settle for wild card playoff spots the last two seasons, and that loss to the Bengals makes this even more of a swing game.

These are the games coming up here with Flacco facing teams like the Steelers and the Saints in the next few weeks in December where we will really begin to see if Joe Flacco has turned the corner or not and is ready to take that next step in being an elite QB and getting the Ravens to a Super Bowl. It's one thing to win a game in Pittsburgh the 4th game of the season in early October where the game is big but doesnt have definite immediate playoff implications, it's another thing to win games in December and January that lead you to winning championships. Flacco has made tremendous strides and progress so far this season no doubt but we still dont know if he can win those big big games in December that can win you division titles and win you those big games in the playoffs that help you get to the next level. Flacco really has no excuses this year. The Ravens have the running game, a good o-line and a lot of receiving weapons like such as Boldin,Mason,TJ,Heap,Stallworth etc. Flacco needs to take the next step this year plain and simple...

I think this season will definitely give us a good picture of Flacco's ability. He's already had 2 seasons of experience, so he really needs to bring his A-game from here on out.

Well he has won big games, and made many fourth quarter comebacks. What we're looking for is more consistency from him, so that we're not in those situations.

Since the games between the Steelers and Ravens are almost always the best games of the year and this one most likely decides the AFCN Division, I know we as fans are looking past TB to that match-up. I only hope the team is not doing the same. TB first. Then we can deal with the pesky Steelers.

I dont know what you guys are talking about with Flacco. He has been stellar this year. With the exception of the Bengals game, which wasn't all his fault. He has been pretty consistant and has won us games, I include the Falcons game even though the defense lost it for us.

I wouldn't be upset with Flacco this year if I was a Ravens fan, but do you think he deserves a Pro Bowl roster spot as it stands right now?

I do not....not with the top QBs in the league being in the AFC (Manning and Brady)

Leapfrogging Brady, Manning and Rivers in his third season is a tall order...of course, considering how irrational some fans are about QB play, that's probably what they expect.
