You should probably fix that to the correct order.I got confused the first time I read it. :dancingbanana:

I just cannot convince myself that we'll win out.. Too many tough games left
We went 11-5 and to the AFC Championship... and came 4 minutes from going to the Superbowl... with a rookie QB and head coach. Anything is possible.

Same here, we still have two really tough games against Pittsburgh and New Orleans. I see us finishing 12-4, which is what I think I predicted in the prediction thread.

I agree, and would be least opposed to (not prefer of course) losing to the Saints as it will be a non-conference game. 12-4 would be good. Hopefully the Pats drop a couple of games, meaning we could get the number 1 seed, but I'm not expecting them to.

Colts and Chargers lost!

:)
That's great for teams who are looking for a wild spot... but the only games that effect us is tonight & tomorrow night. All day today I didn't really care what happened around the AFC because I knew the only games that effect the Ravens are tonight and tomorrow.

Well with the Colts and Chargers losing today.

That all but guarantees that the 2 wc spots are going to come out of the North and East if the remaining 4 teams go .500 the rest of the way out.

It's pretty crazy that the 6 playoff spots are almost accounted for in no particular order.

Steelers
Ravens
Jets
Pats
KC
Jags

The loses by the Colts and Chargers make this game a little less important. Yes every teams wants a 1st round bye but look how much success wild card teams have had over the past few years.

I don't want to see Rivers or Manning in the playoffs. Even though Manning has become a turnover machine. He won't give us any presents.

"Settling" for wildcard is okay in my book. Why?

Our playoff record at home: 1-2
Our playoff record on the road: 7-3 (including neutral location Superbowl)

Not saying that we're incapable at home in the playoffs, since we've only had 3 games but we've certainly had a better showing. Making the playoffs for a third consecutive year will be a franchise record and it's incredibly impressive for a rookie QB and new coach. And right now we're primed for a spot.

The division leaders are:

Jets (9-2)*~
Steelers (9-3)
Chiefs (8-4)
Jags (7-5)

Those currently in the Wildcard race are:

Patriots (9-2)*!
Ravens (8-4)
Colts (6-6)
Raiders (6-6)
Chargers (6-6)
Dolphins (6-6)~

So we're two games ahead of anyone right now who is eligible to compete with us for the Wildcard. Many of these teams play eachother or division leaders in the last four weeks of the season, which will help even more. As long as we can maintain our wins and not lose more than 1 of our last 4 games we should be fine.

*Could change tonight, but for all intents and purposes it will only make a difference if the Pats win the AFC East and we end up with a tied record over the Jets.

!Have tiebreaker over us

~We have tiebreaker over them

I'll take a wildcard spot. But that is far from a given. We still have a tough road ahead. And w'll just have to see how our bi-polar team performs from half to half.

out of the 4 remaining games we have 3 games that could seriously stumble the Ravens.

Saints being the toughest
Browns are improving
Texans have been tough all season
Bungles is most likely a win

I think our odds for wild card are very good but this season might have ended last night if we don't win 3 out of those 4 games.

Every game is a playoff game from here on out. Should be fun! and our defense is definitely peaking at the right time.

I know alot can change between now and then but I was wondering if realistically and mathematically it is possible for the Ravens to get a home playoff game? I'm asking because the team wants to be paid for potential games by the 14th and wondering if I should roll the dice and not pay up. You could still pay online the evening of the monday nighter vs Houston if need be. I'm pretty much basing this off remaining schedules and such. Thoughts?

we will need to win out and have Pitt drop an AFCN game they have left.....doubtful they both happen.

I read a stat that the winner of last night was an 87% favorite to win the division. Take that how you want.....

Yeah its looking that way. But the one positive thing is the Steelers O-Line is bad. The past two games for the Steelers have been poor showing yet they come away with wins. Every game they are setting themselves up for a beating. We just have to hope they lose to the blitzing Jets and another team and we do the unthinkable *gulp* run the table.

Jets loss would be great, but Im more pulling for an AFCN loss. Of course I'll be cheering for whoever is opposite them every game, just really hoping for a Cleveland upset!

I think the Jets could beat Pittsburgh. I wouldn't count out Cleveland either. I think thet have potential to beat us even

The Ravens put themselves into this position. They can probably lose one more game and make wild card. More than that and it gets MESSY

Here's a look at the rest of the schedule for the current division leaders and wildcard contenders:

JETS
Patriots
Dolphins
Steelers
Bears
Bills

STEELERS
Bengals
Jets
Panthers
Browns

CHIEFS
Chargers
Rams
Titans
Raiders

JAGUARS
Raiders
Colts
Redskins
Texans

PATRIOTS
Jets
Bears
Packers
Bills
Dolphins

COLTS
Titans
Jaguars
Raiders
Titans

RAIDERS
Jaguars
Broncos
Colts
Chiefs

CHARGERS
Chiefs
49ers
Bengals
Broncos

DOLPHINS
Jets
Bills
Lions
Patriots

Lots of the teams on this list play one another so someone has to lose and their records will suffer. Nobody has an extremely easy schedule.. based on the schedules and stuff I'd say the Chargers are the only team that really worries me at this point because their schedule is the easiest and they always get hot this time of year. However, we're still two games ahead of them as it stands right now. Colts & Raiders one of them will be taken out by the other, and the Jags could put the nail in the Colts' coffin. I think the Dolphins could be ruled out, but never say never I suppose. The Jets were quite a shocker last season.
