Nobody said hey is going to bring them up to first place. Who knows if he will be a good starter on that team, but you cant say he won't as that has yet to be seen. If you dont want to hear about Troy Smith, than dont go to a Troy Smith thread. I only believe he is better Alex Smith, which is not saying much.

I am with you. Why does he have all these fanboys? I want him to fail just to shut them up. He hasn't really done anything to deserve all the man-love.

I dont understand why its a problem to like Troy Smith? If you dont like him and dont want to talk about him dont add to the thread its pretty simple. People who are bashing Flacco based off of what Troy did in one game are crazy as well. Flacco is our QB support him or not that isnt going to change.

It's not a problem to like Troy Smith. The problem lies in when people who like Troy Smith tell Ravens fans that we will be sorry for trading him. Or that we slighted him in Baltimore and he never got a fair chance.

That is why so many people are Anti-Smith because of the fanboy aspect. Like I always say I wish the best for Smith. I really do. But if he does really well, how long will we have to hear about it on the boards?

It seems as if Rex Ryan has taken a Madden-like approach to football these days -- Madden the [i]video game[/i], that is, not the coach. He blitzes on virtually every down, makes the most outlandish statements like a 14-year-old Madden gamer, has proven himself to be a sore loser, and has told his GM to grab virtually every big name on the market at the expense of team chemistry.

I agree, I love Flacco and would rather have him. Before we had Flacco though, I was hoping Smith would start because Boller was not a good quarterback. After we drafted Flacco I was ecstatic because of his potential. While I do like Troy Smith and his upside, I love Flacco. That being said I believe Troy is better than Alex. I hope Troy succeeds and has a good career as a 9ner. If that brings the "Fanboys" in and they say we should have Troy instead of Flacco, ignore. Just because people want Troy to succeed doesnt mean thier not Raven fans. People that are this down on Troy even though they dont know excactly what he brings annoys me more than the "Fanboys".
